I bought the molded ones through ford dealer.

Which was a nightmare btw, buy 2 weeks ago, says will be there end of week, not there end of next week, beginning of third week only fronts...

Good thing is they went on easy.

That sucks that it took/taking so long. Dont understand why. I bought the molded OEM splash guards front and rear, with embossed Ford logo on rear ones. Ordered on Sunday and will be here tomorrow. Paid $98 total for the set.

FYI, get a hold of a 15/64" or 5/16" drill, and a Xanax :) Other than that, those ones are great.

My (S)tealer installed them along with other items on all Rangers and then overcharges for them. I like them so I did not gripe much and after getting $7000 off sticker I figure I probably did not really pay for the $205 Ford mudflaps F&R along with the ford rubber floor mats for $214 they install on every vehicle they sell. Ugh. They do look good with the black running boards.

You had me worried for a bit but they were fool proof to install and took me less than 30mins to get all 4 on. Calls for a 1/4 bit, drilling 3 holes for each front and 1 for each rear.

Mount the bottom of the guard first using the torx screw then install the clips. This makes sure everything is lined up correctly and held in place. Use the predrilled holes in the guards as your pilot and tap the holes and then insert the pushpins. Bod a boom bod a bing done. :)

They came with clear protective film that you gotta lay down on the paint first. They’ll protect the paint from any rubbing which is very cool

My situation is a bit different. I did not ask for mud-flaps/splash guards when I pre-ordered my truck, but there they were when I picked it up. Somebody, whether by mistake or intentionally, had put them on and charged me a little over a hundred dollars for them, according to the window sticker. Rather than get mad about it and demand to have them removed, I decided that it was not such a big deal. I still think of taking them off, hoping for a less cluttered look and maybe better aerodynamics, but I wonder if taking them off now would damage the paint. But now that I have read this thread for the first time and see how much trouble and expense so many of you are going through to put them on, I am starting to think that there must be something to them....

Mission accomplished :) Make it sound tougher than it is, so when people do it, they think "heh, that wasn't hard".

Worst part was walking out with the drill in hand and having to answer the question from my wife "Are you drilling your brand new truck?"

My dealer stock Lariat came without them so I had the dealer add the Ford OEM splash guards and running boards as part of the deal. I hate having to clean the road tar and other crap that the tires kick-up onto the sides. It bothers me to see it so I had to clean it off several times during the two months it took for the parts to finally come in. It helped a lot on my old Ranger.

HA! Love it! Yeah I'll admit I was a little nervous opening up my drill case. :)

I bolted the WeatherTech mud flaps on today. I like that they didn’t require me to drill any holes in my new rig

How easy would they be to take off and reinstall? I'm not a big fan of mud flaps but I do use them in the winter and take off in the summer.

I think they look natural and expected on a truck. They won't be too hard to take off but I wonder if the clips would survive the switch a few times.

Thanks. When you get a chance sometime, could you post up a picture or two of how they mount?

Edit.. sorry I was thinking it was you who had the Weathertech ones!
