Am I just old or does no one believe in mud flaps any more? My 1984 Tacoma, 1989 Tacoma & 1999 Ranger all came with mud flaps. My 2019 XLT that I put a deposit on the other day doesn't have them & I noticed looking at the garage & various member's trucks that no one else seems to have then.
Having said that, does anyone have a recommendation for any particular brand?
Thanks
Al

I ordered mine with front and rear as a Ford Accessory. They are pretty bendy too, thought they would be more rigid.

Waiting on dealer's "We Owe" mudflaps. I will pay the dealer install them when they come in. Sometimes you have to throw a service a bone for goodwill purposes. Always nice to have service know you and know you will pay for services. Then when warranty items come up they handle it better than someone who never goes to the service dept except to complain.

Bought my truck from dealers stock and ordered the flaps shortly after.

Anyone else have trouble getting them clean? seems they always look like the still have a layer of dirt after a wash.

I put a coating of detail spray on them after I wash them. This seems to make it easier with future washes.

Like spray detailer? I drove some dusty gravel roads yesterday and the texture on the mud flaps kind of held the dust. I got most of it off when I washed it, but they still look a little dirty.

I give them a squirt with the tire shine spray when I spray the tires.

I got the Ford OEM SPLASH Guards ( they don’t call them mud flaps anymore) About $100 for front and rear. Ford Accessories site has several version with varying prices.

Front: https://accessories.ford.com/exterior/splash-guards/kit-mudflap-12422.html
Rear: https://accessories.ford.com/exterior/splash-guards/kit-mudflap-12423.html

My truck is Magnetic, and my mudflaps are brown. I got OEM ones, and they were also magnetic-ish when I put them on. They have not been clean since.

I should add that Husky is trying to sell me splash guards since I got my floor mats, and that the OEM ones took no more than 15 minutes to install.
