Sorry if this has been posted before... but what in the hell is that noise?

When I open my door it sounds like I’m opening the door to a haunted house, but it sounds like it’s coming from the engine area. I experienced it again tonight when I hit the lock button on my fob. After I hit the lock button, about 2 seconds later I heard that sound again coming from the engine area of my truck. Any ideas?

Yep. Fuel pump primes when the door is opened or the truck is unlocked.

Lol! Thanks for the responses... is this normal? Or should something be done with the fuel pump?
I honestly feel like an idiot.

It's normal Jon. And not to worry, you don't know until you ask. You should hear the wife's Mustang. Along with the fuel pump the Ford CoPilot sounds like someone is raking a comb along a zipper, and then it sounds like something locks. I had no idea what the heck was going on until I asked. :)
