Premium fuel is gonna be the biggest thing.. on 87 the truck will only make like.. 240hp/275tq. Where 91/93 will do whatever the advertised figures are.. 275/310?

Like Dennis said run premium. I run 91 and also use S mode and that'll give you the most hp without tuning or additional mods.

Ethanol free gas will deliver better fuel mileage, 87 octane e10 is 84 octane gas and is blended with 10 % ethanol to get to 87 octane. At the pipeline when putting in the recipe to get e10 it will show sub gas 84 octane which they will not let you load only allowed to load 87 minimum. That is why the alcohol free gas is more expensive as they have to add premium fuel to 84 octane to get to 87 minimum. Corn is cheaper than crude.

I run an EVC throttle controller. It’s an extremely simple plug n play that adds “pep” in the form of responsiveness

heres a few videos that make a good case for a throttle controller. the Ranger go pedal is very laggy, but i feel the motor is pretty peppy when you remove that lag.

I've been running 92 and 93 octane e10 during the summer and I don't notice much difference in interstate driving, but I do notice a difference when putting around at low rpms. It has noticably more torque at low rpms and the transmission shifts less as it can power through without a downshift.

I've used this type of devices before and they basically recurve your throttle response...the S mode does EXACTLY the same thing...except it's already paid for...

That makes sense. Sheetz just opened a new location by my work and they have 90 e0 for only 10 cents more than 93 e10.

I believe the 270/310 numbers are rated on 87 octane.
