Not diss'en Colorado but in a town with less than 600 people and no automotive shops listed in city business license holders...you have to be a "do it yourselfer" LOL. Assuming you work in Salida?

I have actually moved oyt of salida a while back. Just forgot to change it. Also I have been wrenching for 8 years now with mostly automotive and now on Forklifts. My certifications are with Ford, Nissan and now Crown so you could say I'm a little versatile.

So just did a trip, mainly highway. L/100km was 10.0. Sticker is 10.9 combined so not bad with the Mishimoto installed.

What are the pros/cons of the dry filter vs oiled filter?

Excellent! Thanks for sharing

That's about 24.2mpg for us here in the states ;)

Lol we measure it in reverse too which is also confusing when you’re used to MPG. My only complaint is a lack of printed instructions. It’s a fairly straight forward install, there was just one confusing part, which the YouTube install video was great, but she made it look so easy. I recommend a thumb ratchet if you have it. I never did figure out what the zap strap was for, I assume for fluid line up at the front, but I just factory deleted the clips etc and found a home to run the line. Still, lack of a decal was a let down, free advertising, buuuuuut I am much happier with the Mishi intake system over the aFe Quantum. The Mishi I think also looks better, it looks like it was meant to be there from the start and not enginerded after the fact to force itself to fit.

Has me considering upgrading the inter cooler and hoses. Will probably be adding a catch can too.

side note: I didn’t purchase directly from Mishimoto, instead Amazon as I got prime free 2 day shipping and the exchange rate etc and shipping cost from Mishimoto to ship “Internationally “...

Looking into one of these CAI from mishimoto. Seems like everyone who has bought one is happy. Still not sure on which filter. Every truck I've modified has been a diesel and I've always went with an S&B with a paper dry filter. If S&B made a kit for the ranger thats the kit I'd go with.
Which kits from mishimoto filter the best, the dry or oiled?

Mine is dry. I don’t think I want oil near my air. But I’m not super smart either

That's what I'm thinking, had some oiled filter mostly K&N didn't like them, and will not buy another one. Went dry on every upgraded intake I've had in about the last 8 years.

Do you guys have an update on this yet?

That is a GREAT question!

It's tough to estimate, unfortunately, however obtaining CARB approval is still in process! We're still aiming to get those stickers, but we don't have an ETA at the moment. Best VERY rough estimate is still a few months out

Thanks,
Nick

Installed this intake more then a week ago. Had the AFE quantum in before. So far over the AFE the gas mileage is better. Still not hitting average advertised numbers. I did take it for a 5hr highway road trip and the mileage was down to 9.9 L/100 which is better then sticker, going 110-115km/h. Lost most the gains once off 400 series highways. I do notice that my trucks likes to cruise just under 2k rpm now even at city speeds which is nice. Power wise, feels better then stock, the AFE felt a bit more powerful however at a higher RPM and it destroyed mileage. I don’t usually step on the gas hard so the Mishi feels better.

my biggest complaints; no instructions (YouTube solved this) and hey Mishimoto how about including a few decals in the box!!! It’s free advertising. I did get a Chilli air freshener that lasted like a week...

My two cents. Can update after more driving if anyone is interested
