What is it with mice being attracted to my truck? I don't eat in my truck and it's always clean yet I keep having mice issues! I have a "Mouse Baster" attached to the battery, spray mint spray in truck and have mint sent bags hanging under dash yet I just popped the hood and there is a mouse house directly on top of the battery! Literally 2 inches from the "mouse blaster". A year ago I had mice in the cab building a nest under the shift/center console. Grrrrr!!!! 3 Vehicles park in the driveway yet the Ranger is the only one that has mice problems.
apparently they don't like Irish Spring Soap cakes

I know someone that put Irish Spring in their camper and the mice used it as a food source.
I use Irish Spring in the coat closet to keep the moths away from my expensive cowboy hats... I use blinking LED aray for keeping mice away..

Best,
Phil

Seems that a mouse ate up my battery cover/blanket before I even took delivery. Didn't notice. Need to get that thing replaced.

Have them check the wiring harnesses also. There was a lot of rodent damage to trucks that sat in the lot for months waiting to be shipped.

OMG, that was awesome. How the hell did that chicken kill with a chicken karate chop?
Looked like a beak to the heart or abdomen.

OP, at least you didn’t have any “damage”. Had a squirrel get into the engine of my wife’s Acura. It did $3200 by eating all the wires
I guess insurance won't cover this? Nor will an extended warranty? It's gotta suck paying for all this "coverage" and then having to pay out cash anyway.

I had a mouse problem this summer, live trapped 1 five times, finally set a lethal trap and that was that. I have kept the trap set and baited in the truck ever sense then and have not caught anymore mice. I also have a black snake living in my shed were I park the truck. I have never seen him but have found his skin 3 times in the last 2 years. He is welcome to stay as long as he wants. My cats have been working diligently to reduce the rodent population as I frequently have presents the cats leave me on the step.
