My point was only that you shouldn't buy the Ford Tune. Buy an aftermarket. Then I was told you can get the benefit from all the other stuff.
Should be awesome when you're done. Post what tune you ended up buying.
Just an FYI. I'm no mechanic or have much knowledge of engines, but fortunately a lot on here do. I bought a Ford Tune because I have a 7 year warranty and it wouldn't void it.
So impressed with the tune I wanted to buy a Cold Air intake, downpipe, and cat back exhaust.
Was basically told...
I do hope you're right and they come out with one. It would be my next truck. Until, then I only have 17K on my 2021 Tremor and a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty. At this rate I would be less than 75,000 miles in 2031.
And yes, one of my frat brothers from school owns a dealership here. He...
I with you on that. I wouldn't want full time 4wd, and the 12 mpg that goes with that engine. I think maybe the issue might be is if you start opting the Lariat w/Tremor package and the options that are standard on the Raptor, the price gets awfully close. Real Close.
What happens when you're the designated driver who is taking home the people drinking and that activates the kill switch in the middle of nowhere. Who do you call? How long before you get home?
Do you not see how many different ways this could go badly?
not too difficult to increasing...
I've had my Tremor for 2 years now. Glad I went with the XLT. Just none of the other "upgrades" mattered to me. I did a great wrap job on the steering wheel and bought sheepskin inserts. I love the sheepskin. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer - you're back never sweats, ever. May not...
Back when I was in high school a bunch of us got together and picked up trash in various places around Nashville. We made a bunch of t-shirts that read,
IF YOU LITTER, YOU'RE THE TRASH!!
I installed the performance package and put a topper on it. Before adding those two things I was averaging 16.8. Now I'm averaging 19.7. Go figure. I was expecting it to lower with the performance Pack.
My mileage is overwhelmingly in town.
Thanks everyone for all the replies. I do really appreciate it. Apparently the bad cell battery theory proved correct. Just took it to the dealer and they put in a new battery under warranty.
Hate to admit but I'm not. At all.
Yesterday, went to go somewhere in my Ranger and it was completely dead. Not even a chime upon opening the door. I thought that was a little strange as the keys were in my pocket and the lights were turned off. Assumed as normal that it was the battery...
Which tune are you going to do? If doing the Ford Performance tune I was told to skip the other mods as they won't really change much. The Ford Tune may not be as powerful as some aftermarket ones, but I didn't want to void the extended warranty I purchased for 7yr/100,000 miles.
I sure wish I could buy just those nostrils. I would prefer them to the red the Tremor has. Alas, I would have to buy the whole grill for about $300. I guess I'll end up taking the grill off and painting them.
