It seems that once you get over the "I don't want to drill into my truck" hurdle, the opportunity to improve things like bed cargo carrying options, etc. basically explode to near infinity...

So once you start thinking of ways to mount, build, etc. on the bed using things like RivNuts, etc. I'm curious what some of you have done in terms of racks, covers, etc.

I've got some ideas, but before I start swiss-cheesing my bed, want to see what others have been up to in this specific case.

RETRAX Pro cover, Customer cross-bars with Bike mounts and custom made Kayak mount. Also have FORD Swing out tool box on passenger side.

With the exception of putting the Ford bed light jit in i haven't done any drilling in my truck yet at this time but I do plan on getting this bed!! Pricy but it has a nice purpose. You can also put a canopy on it from the same manufacturer!!

Well, that's just cheating and doesn't count! You're just removing the bed so you don't have to drill into it!!! :)

You HAVE to do a detailed run down once it's done... Looks impressive!

When money is no longer an object it will happen!! Chances are i will let it stay as a bed and get one of the Patriot Campers X1 series Campers. That is my thought but then again money.

Once I got over the initial fear of drilling into a new truck I went for the roof rack. Glad I did because it’s allowed me to take a ton of gear into some amazing places.

No holes drilled yet, but planning to add a Front Runner roof rack if it ever goes off backorder.

Also thinking about adding a single ARB drawer with the side floor kit (https://arbusa.com/ford-ranger-2019-on/storage-solutions/) just on one side so it doesn't take up all of the space back there. I believe this involves 4 bolts through the floor of the bed.

What rack did you go with that required drilling? I'm thinking I'll have to go that was as my Tonneau won't allow clip on bed racks, and bed will be too short anyway for kayaks.

Seems best way to mount kayaks for rough ground travel will be perm. attached roof racks.

It’s the Rhino Rack pioneer platform with the backbone mount. Works really well for the rough trails and I can stand on it while loading the kayak. Really sturdy setup and the kayak clears my roof tent which was what I needed most.

You do the install? I watched the video a while ago and it didn't seem that hard. I also figure it's the roof so even if I f'd it up, no one will ever see it! :) Seems a bit spendy though...
