And we don't need gas caps...
Lucky for the owner of this Saturn the crime was done while the car was parked on the street and not in their carport. Many older homes in Hawaii (mine included) have carports and not garages.

Seems as though some punks are setting cars on fire to get their jollies in Honolulu, all the more reason to secure the fuel filler opening. As of yet Ford does not manufacture a locking fuel plug for 5G Rangers, dunno what the holdup could be. The punishment I would inflict on these individuals would make Dr. Hannibal Lechter look like a alterboy...

Supposed unheard of violence in Waikiki too.....

The check ball in the full tube is not for anti siphon. It is to keep fuel in the tank in case of roll over. True gas thieves don’t siphon anymore. They enjoy vehicles with ground clearance like ours. They go underneath, drill a one inch or larger hole either to let it run into pans or bucket, or, shove a hose in that’s hooked to a 12 volt pump and pump it into other containers. Happens all the time here. They’ll hit car lots and drain every tank in a night

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Now they don't siphon the gas, due to filler neck springs or check valves, they either cut the fuel line and slide on a water bandit type compression fitting to route the fuel into containers, or just punch a hole in the bottom of your tank and let it flow into a container. Happens out her once in awhile, especially with gas over $5 in some places.

Violent crime is rampant in the state as a whole, Waikiki more so because tourists are considered easy targets.

The latest, seemingly uncontrollable crime is catalytic converter theft, I know of a condominium building miles from Waikiki in which 30+ vehicles had their converters hacked off in one weekend.

The tool of choice is a cordless sawzall, I'd love to use this tool on the perp if I ever caught him/her trying to steal mine, in such a way that would make Dr. Hannibal Lechter look like an alter boy.

Nice find! Anyone know if that's the same as this one that's 8U5Z-9C268-B or this onethis one?
It's almost the same part number as BU5Z-9C268-B, which is the only thing that comes up at your link (BU5Z-9C268-A doesn't seem to exist)

Perhaps the 8 is a misprint of B, or vice-versa?

Comes up for me -- but, it says it doesn't fit a 2020 Ranger ... 4rd SVT, how did you get it to fit?

Also, maybe 8U5Z-9C268-B is the normal key version, and BU5Z-9C268-B is the tubular lock version?

Look at the top edges of your fuel Nozzle Opening-

There are small/thin "slits" right below the words "Easy" & "EO-E15"... roughly the 9 & 3 o' clock positions.
You can barely place your finger nails in these slits...

My key-lock came in a Ford bag with the part number BU5Z-9C268-A 1X
Ironically I discovered this key-lock is for S550-Mustang/GT500 and I did some pic searches...
Based on internet pics, I figured the S550 Mustang/GT500 is using the same filler neck as the gen-5 Ranger.
So I took the "50 dollar" challenge...

BU5Z-9C268-B part number, using Levitowns Parts site, the pics are the exact same as mine [A version]. In the third pic, you can see the fixed-slit [or thin tab] on the plastic cover portion and the silver slit/tab is the open/lock mechanism to keep the cover in place.

It's like the other Ford OE style locking caps, once you twist the key on the lock to the open position; the key stays attached to locking cap... until you place the locking-cap back on the nozzle & twist the key back to the lock position.

Forgot to mention:
Using Levitown Parts Pics... The B version is using the exact same keys as my A version.

The only issue with the key is it's a mini version of a typical bike lock key and the opening to place/hold the lock-key to your key ring is TOO small.
I was barely able to get it on my key-ring.

I'm looking for an extra "mini" key ring that were given/installed on the old style Ford FOBs....

If I'm seeing or looking at your links correctly....

Tasca Parts Locking Fuel Plug

eBay Ford Locking Gas Cap

These will NOT not fit the Gen5 Ranger. Repeat, 8U5Z-9C268-B will NOT fit the Gen5 Ranger.

This type of locking gas cap/plug is for the S197 Mustang/GT500 and the Gen3 Focus including the RS.
