Not overy impressed with the hi beam. It shoots wider and further away, quite a bit in the distance, but I was expecting a greater intensity/difference when the hi beams turn on vs when they're off.

Wife's Escape is like a night and day difference, but different cars will work differently.

Very happy with the brightness and the color temp. Nearly pure white. My wife's are more like 6,000k. These id say 5,200k or so.

Thats the ones from the link. They are definitely brighter than stock. If I had to guess Id say 2 to 2 1/2 times brighter.

This is an old pic of stock headlight. This is before my level kit though and much closer to the wall.

From that pic, it looks like they also have a nice clean cut off line. Is it that way when out driving too?

Its pretty clean. Im not going to say its as clean as that image but cameras don't really pick up a lot of the bleeding light like our eyes do.

I need to update one thing. I am NOT getting flickering while using the lights as DRL's. I was looking at them through my camera and the camera apparently makes LED's look like they are flickering. I have put my DRL's back to the low beams and verified this.

Sorry for any confusion, I learned something new today.

Yup. LEDs actually have a refresh rate that is unlike the constant glow from incandescent bulbs. Traditional bulbs have filament that glows that isn't impacted by a 60Hz cycle from power because the filament doesn't react that quickly, however, LEDs can react that quickly, and many of them have 400Hz (400 times/second) refresh rates. So technically an LED flashes imperceptibly to the human eye, but the capture rate of any recording device has the ability to capture an LED when it's not at the peak of its light cycle. This will give you the "strobing effect" you can see with LEDs on video even though you don't see it in person.

Electricity is fun. Here's a fun ELI5 from Reddit that covers this more in-depth. And another that covers recording LEDs.

I don't have the fx4 package an I was able to slide my hand up an swap the bulbs in the fogs without removing anything. There's was no cover on mine, just grab the back base of the bulb an twist.

So,I got an email last night from CarRover, but a story first.

I had a problem with the very first CarRover low beam I put in. I contacted them and they very quickly sent me out a new set of bulbs. Shortly after that they had a new design and they wanted me to try them out ( the 1:1 bulbs ). I purchase them and review them. Then they refund me via PayPal. Honestly it seemed a little sketchy, but I figured the newer bulbs did look better and what the heck. Worst case I'm out a few bucks or return them to Amazon. I bought, I reviewed and they refunded me! It was just a little while ago they made me the same offer, but to try the 20,000lm bulbs. Perfect! I needed better high beams anyway. Same deal. Should have money in PayPal this morning in fact. Now back to the beginning...

The email I got last night was to extend the offer to you guys! Send me a PM and I'll forward you the contact info. I get nothing for this and I'm just sending their offer. You buy, you review and they PayPal you the cost of the bulbs. That's it. That's all. Anyone interested let me know.

Hey so I installed them today and I wanna make sure I did it correctly.. I wasn't able to get the LEDs installed at a 3 to 9 angle. After the twist to lock it was more diagonal... Was that your experience too. And the dust covers do not fit over it completely -- I was able to lock half of the dust cover while the other half bulges out a little but still feels locked enough. I am mainly concerned about the beam position..Help lol

The diagonal on the passenger side is normal. Its more like 10-2 and drivers is 9-3. This was the case for the JDM's I tried also.

As for the dust covers, thats not normal. The Auxitos should fit under the dust covers no problem. They should easily go on. Are you sure you have the bulbs seated all the way? You ordered these right?

10 to 2?? Did you mean 10-4? Yeah no they are seated in all the way and twisted in. The base is much bigger than stock bulbs. I even took the auxito out and put stock back in and cover went on completely . Putting auxito back in the cover wouldn’t lock completely , only half of it. Feels secure but def not flush. So since you have one bulb angled diff than the other, do they look symmetrical in terms of light pattern?

Sorry, its been a long day. Yeah 10-4.

Even though they aren't clocked at the same angle, the lights do look symmetrical on the wall in terms of light pattern.

Im still not sure why your caps aren't closing though. Theres quit a bit of room behind mine for the dust covers.

I will say though, the CarRovers that weasel1 has wouldn't fit in mine but fit perfect in his. My dust covers wouldn't close and did the same as yours now. I wonder if there's some strange variance between vehicles. There shouldn’t be as its an injection mold.

I had pretty much the same problem. If you push on the bottom of it while you twist you can usually get it to give just enough to close back down. A few pages back I posted, it scraped up the inside of the dust cap ever so slightly, but it was largely inconsequential IMO and the bulbs fit just fine.

It looks like In the last pic , it starts to bulge at the bottom part of the cover. And yes it’s the auxito h11 low beam bulbs you sent in link (halogen form factor)

That spot does that even with the stock bulbs. The gasket seems to be keeping it from being flush. Theres nothing at that spot to be pushing either as the bulb plug is at the opposite top corner. Its flush everywhere else. Theres easily a 1/2” between the bulb and the dust cap. Thats what doesnt make sense.
