I just traded in a 2020 Ranger XL SuperCrew 4x2 for a 2019 Ranger Lariat SuperCrew 4x4. I noticed right away that they sound completely different and accelerate different. My 2020 XL didn't really make much of a noise when accelerating, it sounded like your everyday unmodified vehicle. It did have good and somewhat stiff throttle response. My 2019 sounds more like a traditional larger dual exhaust truck. The throttle response feels looser and the sound and feel reminds me of my 2011 Mustang GT. The 2019 only has 9000 miles on it and was only drove less than a year and has sit on the dealers lot ever since. To my knowledge no upgrades have been done to it. Are these vehicles tuned different from the factory? Is there a way to tell if someone else has programmed it? Is this normal?
