Looking for year round AT tires. 3 peak world be nice but not required.

I'm kind of torn between these tires, all from America's Tire. I'll probably be getting the warranty for all tires which is about $40/ea in addition.

90% of my driving is on the road, I'm only hitting trials 1-3 weekends a month for when camping. I prefer an aggressive looking tire.

I'm pretty sure any of these will do but willing to spend extra if it means I'll get more life out of the tire.

I'm pretty sure at least one member is using each of those 4 to chime in. I've heard a lot of good things about the Falkens, I see them around quite frequently here in Mass.
I have the Toyos and have been pleased, haven't gotten any snowfall yet to test.

All good choices.

The Falkens have a 55k mile tread life warranty.

The Toyos 60k miles.

The General's, 50k miles.

And the Nittos have no tried life warranty that I can find.

I have the Toyos in 255/80-17 and love them. As reported by others, no white shit out west here yet to test out. But all the reviews say I should be good.

In July I was quoted a little over $900 for 4 - 255/70/17 Continentals. (out the door with road hazard, etc).
4 months later the price was $1200+ and I was told they just received notice of another price increase. (That was November)

I was watching tire inventory/selection an prices for a long time planning my move to 265/70's. There was a store brand tire with great reviews, all 4 an 5 stars, at discount tire direct. They were $104 when I first checked them out an today they are $140. It's been about ten months since I started watching. I went with Nitto terra grapplers. Had the DTD brand tires still been $104 or so I'd probably tried them. I didn't want an LT tire so that saved me some JACK. I don't think you have a choice in that size though.

Or just your local store.

From what their rep here told me, many stores have inventory streams outside of corporate. My local store found the Toyos in my size for me when the website showed out of stock.

My local discount tire won my business patching flats for free on tires they didn't sell me.

If I'm buying a mounted/balanced set of tires and wheels, I usually go to Tirerack. They have a distribution center here in Denver and I can usually pick them up on the dock for a discount. Their wheel selection is a bit better than Discount.

But if I'm buying tires only locally. Discount is my go to.

I read in today’s news that Discount Tire is purchasing The Tire Rack. I have bought hundreds of tires from each of them, and hope the new entity is as good as both of them.
Ha, perfect timing with my post below yours.

Thats gonna be huge for both of them!

I got a first responder coupon for 10% off through Tirebuyer.com, where I got my Toyo's if that's the one you used.

I just bought tires for my father's truck from Tire Rack because of a mail-in rebate and pickup discount. There are still deals out there at least.

Go for the Firestone Destination XT in that size. You will have excellent Road manners while having excellent off-road capability. I've already put in a thread that gives information on that tire from what I have experienced already and for the price you can probably get better than the ATX when you go to a firestone or Bridgestone tire shop. That's my suggestion

I would consider that cheap! Back in the days when I soloed my Merkur, a set of skins were close to $2,000. These days, that's like $4,000!

I had a '79 Mustang Cobra II with the P metric tires on it an they were crazy expensive. It was part of a suspension package.
