For the sake of peace, I sure hope Ford gets rid of the damper package for the 6g.
That'll start another war. lol

Ok. Off to use the search tool to discover the damper and all it means for a full and meaningful life.
Well, it was nice knowing you Robert. Maybe we'll see you again next summer. ?

Test: who is my generation?
Clue: 'If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.'
Born in '64. The end of the Boomer generation. :like:

I'm so new in doing my research I don't know what side I should support.
If I pick a side do I have to support everything that party believes? ;)
The jury is still out...the answer should be available by 2025 ⁉

Welcome. You made a great choice. I came from Chevy and Ford full size trucks. Love them all. But the Ranger, man Ford knocked it out of the park. For my needs its perfect.

They are hard to find around where I live. So, you cant be too choosy. I found a one that had more than I needed. If I had the choice I probably would have gone with the XLT. But, in the end I am glad I have the lariat. The LED lighting (inside and out) is worth the price of the package alone! I spend a lot of time on country roads at night... and those LED headlights are second to none.

Also, when I learned how well it was doing in Australia and that its not a brand new platform, I was sold. I got burned buying a new platform (2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with 6.6 gasser). So, I was glad thats not the case with the Ranger.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm leaning towards the most base model. Old fogies don't like all that tech stuff.
Nah, I do see how much of the driving aid stuff would be great, but I'm thinking the less means less to go wrong. But I'm just not finding tech complaints with this gen Ranger.

I think the base model XL is great. You have a good platform to do anything you want from there and customize it your way. Plus you'll have less tech stuff (less computers/modules) in there for future problems to arise.

That's my thinking.
Thanks
