Is there any significant benefit to having a cold air intake?

I think their dyno needs calibration, 14HP? Either it's a lie or a typo that should read 4HP.
To heck with the HP.....I want the "Tire Scorching Torque" !!!!!
I need to hear those "13 Pounding Feet"

Could well be the case. They had no actual dyno graph to show on their site.

The full cold air kit maybe but a K&N replacement filter is fine.
I haven't got one for the Ranger yet but I had one in my old Sport Trac for 200,000 miles and it saved me money over that time since you can clean it and reuse it.
For shipping you can have my K&N.

I bet most of your gains came from that.
I didn't see a MPG gain when I installed my tonneau, dry cleanable filter or tune. I did take a slight hit when I raised the front about 1.5"

I am a big fan of aFE drop in filters, though. As has been said, the OEM setup is already cold air. All you need is a drop-in filter, and I prefer dry filters like the aFE. I am not a fan of oiled filters like the K&N. I've seen them screw up MAP sensors and the like.
I have a hard bed cover pm my stock 2020 XLT.. My highest mileage (when not going above 2K RPMs on a 500 mile trip was 28.5mpg. Average speed was 65mph. I had to take this trip a dozen times and used it to experiment with driving techniques to see what I could achieve.

Driving normally (for me) got me 26.5. Top speeds on the interstate was 70-72 mph. About half the trip. In town stop and go us 23.5 - 24.

I have synthetic oils in the drivetrain. Tires inflated to spec. I have ASS off and BMS set to the 4G Ranger charge pattern (not sure this matters). I also have a solid driveshaft.

I am not sure the last two make much of a difference but they may play a roll. Listing for completeness.

I think the bed cover is where the big MPG gain is found.
