I have always felt CAI just shifts the accelration range on 4-cyls up to higher RPM, but lags at lower RPM(a compromise). I haven't tried this on the 2.3 ecoboost in the ranger but i always feel like the stock airboxes have given better midrange and that's more where my foot typically lives on the skinny pedal. I cant picture the CAI being cheap either
