If you get your tires rotated, I'm sure you got the special service of the wheel lugs sunk at 275 ft lbs plus 2 or 3 more trigger taps with the ol air wrench.

Wow. Last time I had to wait an extended amount of time, my dealer charged me for the extra coffee I drank while waiting
This is exactly why I'm worried! :like:

Only ever got 3 free things from my dealer. My first oil change 3000 miles. Second oil change at 6000 miles. That was because they wrote it up as being its first. And 3 months of XM. Because I gave them a poor review for wanting to charge $35 for a tire rotation with the works. And I never downloaded the XM. And I haven't been back since.

You mean they wanted to charge $35 in addition to the price of The Works? WTF!

I have had oil changes from Ford, Chevy and Mazda dealerships while under warranty and none of them had me out of there in under an hour. You were there for an hour and fifteen minutes and they gave you a free oil change? Yea I would be looking for their mess up in the parking lot before leaving.

Best one I had was when I told them a tire was deflating they checked it and said it was fine, but I made them check again and there's a dirty great big nail in there

So, I showed up at 750am for my 8am 60k service. Talk to the rep describe issue with shuddering and fact I think I need brakes. Says the 60k inspection will check brakes, but the shudder issue needs its own appointment with the “back shop”. Ok, but maybe your rep should have told me that when I made the appointment. I settle into the waiting area doing a little trip research on my phone. Didn’t notice the time, but I was getting bored so I strolled over to the viewing area to check progress. Still on the rack, it’s now 915ish, At 10 the rep comes over apologizes for how long my service took says no charge, hands me the invoice zeroed out and hustles me outa there. Well, thanks for the free service…..BUT now I’m terrified they broke something or damaged the truck some how lol. Never got a freebie at a stealership in 44 years of driving.

Now I’ll have to go over the truck thoroughly to tamp down my fear ??????

So they gave you the service free so that when you get the survey from Ford, you'll give them high marks. Huge chunks of the service writer's livelihood are tied to the survey.

And they probably goofed by not scheduling you correctly and/or communicating clearly, but weren't kidding about the back shop needing to look at the shudder issue. That's not something you want your average, unexperienced oil-change tech looking at.

Last time I had the oil change at the dealership there was a tech asking the service adviser if he could go on his lunch break. The adviser told him no, that he needed to service my truck first. Needless to say, I wasn't waiting long for my truck, but when I got home, I went over everything with a fine-tooth comb. Fortunately, everything was fine.
