From the way I understand it is, the 36k mile warranty from Roush or FP isn't the engine, it's for the tune. I would think if something bad is going to happen from the tune, it would happen within 36k miles, if not before. I assume you'd still have your extended engine warranty though? The 36k one is just the tune's warranty, if any of that makes sense?Interesting. I have an extended warranty with the dealership, well through FORD, i wish i didnt buy it but at the time i was reading some horror stories on some rangers and thought hey, i might get a lemon. They did have to change the rear brakes on the red vixen at 7,000mi because piston was sticking. But i want a tune badly. I was wanting to go with FP just because it doesnt void the warrnaty upon getting it installed by ford or ase cert personnel. But i think it would suck downgrading my extended warranty to only 36k, means i waste my money. So for a fact, FP will downgrade any extended warranty? I keep regretting my decision of extending it haha
I too, got the extended 100k mile warranty, from reading the same horror stories, but I'm going to get the Roush tune for my '21, whenever they release it. My truck should meet the years, before the mileage, as I don't drive too far from work and everything is near our house
Just my $.02
