The question is what is your plans for the truck? Bombing through the desert, mall crawling, mudding, rock crawling, to feel well endowed?

Lol it's a vague question without context.

maybe some bombing through the desert and mudding if it ever rains around here and i live in a tiny town so no mall crawling just off roading on the weekends and going to work during the week.

They would probably be a good entry level shock for that. Rear leafs are sub standard for wheeling as well. Any multileaf pack will have better articulation and better ride on amd off road too. In my opinion anything is better than the stock shocks.

Do you want quality suspension? If you said ues then the answer is NO. Icon has very low quality parts that have been reported on here and else where. Simple as that.

Comes down to how much you willing to pony up. A good set of shocks should hold you until you think you need more. UCA’s are only necessary for lift over 2 1/2 or off-roading where you really need the extra articulation or both. Otherwise not necessarily.

Truly depends on what you plan to do as the term "OffRoading" has a lot of different meanings. If you simply plan to hit the trail to enjoy then I can say Old Man EMU would be considered best. If trying to bomb through the Desert then APG would be best. If only wanting to level and/or get better ride quality the Bilstein or Eibach would be the way to go.

Regardless ICON is simply overpriced junk

I agree and disagree. What I disagree with is the articulation part. Even with Old Man EMU wich lifts the front by 2.4 and with swaybar disconnects there.was no need for aftermarket Upper Control Arms.

I had Icon rears for a short time and was pretty disappointed. They did well at first but wore out quickly. Less than 30k miles and they were shot. Swapped them out for Fox 2.0 to match the front and I have been much happier.

I never gave my opinion but im a Bilstein guy. 6112s up front and 5160s in back. It will be amazing on road, have a good warranty and life expectancy, and be middle of the pack off road.

At the entry level this would be my choice....the top line ICON 2.5 extended travel CVCD Remote reservoir and Piggybacks are not junk , but the Bilstein 6112 /5160 are a good setup for 2.5 front coilover/ 2.0 rear shock at a lower price point.... Same digressive valving as the ICONS used in the Stage 2 kit...this is coming from a ICON guy....
