The orangeish red accents are pretty cool I have to admit......and luckily for me I was able to trade in my 2021 Lariat Tremor and pay the difference so no truck payment.

side note, I previously had a 2019 Raptor Supercab.....a rare truck apparently.......that truck was nice but I didn't like the wider track and having to park it in crowded areas....let alone the supercrew which I think are enormous!!.....this thing is the perfect size IMO!!......and the price is very good when compared to the Taco Pro or the ZR2 or ZR2 bison
THAT is why I really do not want to move into the F150! But if I have to, it is going to be a Raptor lol I do prefer the Ranger size though, yeah I wish the Ranger was like 2" wider, would probably be enough to make her happy. She always compares against her Pilot interior (which happens to basically be a Ridgeline interior).

The 6g ranger wheel wells were widened and can support 4 foot sheet goods.

How long will your transmission last with that kind or torque lol? Congrats on the raptor. Really like the color you picked out.

Congrats on the new truck. $2,000 ADM isn't bad price for a ticket to get into the game.
thanks! and yes $2,000 ADM is a steal here in Southern Orange County, CA or anywhere in Southern CA......and I didn't have to fly out & drive back from somewhere which would have been hard with a trade-in.......I think once more get out there the price will come down to msrp everywhere...I think...but who knows as the midsize truck market with the top dogs being the TRD Pro & the Ranger Raptor we might still see ADM for a while on these

Yeah man, that ADM is nothing for the west coast. A Vegas sales guy told me they plan to mark them up $10k but told me I should be able to negotiate down to the $2-5k range if I wanted one. They only had one through their dealer that was a pre-order at the time, maybe a month ago?

$2-3k is acceptable considering all things (my TIME!). Between the two Ford dealers I have been to I just have yet to see one in person. Driving around Vegas I came across one when they first came out, probably the one that dealer sold. Even when I was in Irvine/HB 2 weeks ago I did not see one in the wild. One of the two Vegas dealers did have a Raptor R, I suppose they probably had a +$20k markup on it for it to be sitting, it was not on the window.

I assume it has the updated parts Ford is putting in the transmissions now a days, so probably the most reliable 10 speeds out of the factory at this point would be my guess.

the first RR I test drove a month or 2 back had a $12k ADM on the window sticker but they offered it to me at $5,500 over......and I was put off by the sleazy sales guy so that wasn't going to work...

The truck I bought was listed with a $5k ADM.....but I reminded them that I bought my Lariat Tremor from them back in 2021 (with a $1,500 ADM) and that I knew my trade-in would sell because of all the upgrades (little do they know about the trans!!..LOL)......and I have an 840 credit score and was ready to buy at the right deal.......I didn't even ask them about financing as I was "pre-qualified" through my bank at 5.64% but I didn't tell them that and I knew I wasn't financing......I played "hard ball" and it worked......it's not easy selling cars/trucks right now......higher interest rates and higher prices = lower sales[/QUOTE]

I want one so bad but my current 5g is good enough ATM. plus it has slight reduced towing capacity.

Was just playing with the "R" button and drive mode choices......found that you can drive in 2wd in sport mode with the baja exhaust......WOW!!...I know it says "off road use only".....but damn does it sound killer!....and this thing is a beast!!.....I took a little while to find the right "fun" settings.....I am 10000000% in love!!......and yes only 5,500lb tow rating.....and probably shitty MPG....but who cares...it's a fricking Ranger Raptor!!....finally here!!

Nice, I'm holding out for a Thunder with lower suspension and full tow rating, but some similar adjustments to sound and steering assist.

I did keep my rubber bed mat and it seems the actually bed width is a bit wider around the wheelwells as the rubber mat doesn't fit like a glove like before.
I think I read somewhere that the gap between the wells in the new gen is now 4' so you can lay 4x8' sheets of plywood/drywall and such in the bed flat, making it a better work truck than it was. Yes, you'll need the tailgate down and it may still hang off a little, but being flat is way better than up on one wheel well.

Looks good, congrats!

I'm also not surprised you got the run around from SM Ford. They were one of my least favorite dealers to deal with when I lived out there, I constantly had issues with them. Caruso Ford was better overall, they were just busier.

It wouldnt happen to be 48” or wider between the wheelwells in the bed would it? I could totally see justifying this purchase just to throw a plywood sheet flat back there haha. Ours is like 43-44” and I’ve chipped a few sheets
Yeap, I just found the PDF with the specs. 48.2"

Wow that is just awesome Bill. I would love one but can't afford it. My AC just went out at my house and with it being 30 years old and the heating being 32 years old time to replace both at a cost of probably $15,000 :thumbsdown: I am sure you will enjoy your new Ford Ranger Raptor tons.

I just sent Flood Ford my bill of sale for selling my 2021 Lariat Tremor and notified them about the sale to get a refund on my ESP......I paid $1,375 for a 6 year/125K plan with a $200 deductible.....I bought it on 01/04/2022 and the truck had 2,604 miles.......I traded the truck in this past Saturday and it had about 31,000 miles.....

I just get an email confirmation from Flood Ford saying I was getting back $667.13....not bad I say!!

I never used it but it was a very nice feeling to have it in case I needed.......I would have kept that truck forever had the tranny been fixed right or replaced with a new one!!.....anyway, Flood Ford is great and thanks for the upcoming refund!!
