We had to do a complete inspection every 6 months at the Sheriff's office, I tried armor all (years ago) and the dust stuck so I tried the no touch foam and never looked back. Don't use the stuff that leaves a shine, it's slimy and never fully dries, I learned the hard way. Any fine dust that I couldn't remove gets emulsified , hit it with a soft brush and let it dry. Any foam that pooled in recesses I just dab with a dry towel and let it dry.
You cleaned your own patrol vehicles? Isn't that what trustees are for? :)

Depends on how busy the jail was and only the outside washes. Didn't have the room to take up a bay space for a detail cleaning.

Looks very nice.
I'm just not brave enough to spray under the hood.
Spray under the hood, while leaving it running... if it stumbles or dies when you spray a certain area, you know you have a loose connection, or failing component, and where to start your search... ?

So how is the new motor running and who did all the wrenching?
Hey John, actually glad you asked... I’m on vacation starting today... I plan on driving up to the dealer and meet the mechanic next week that had to do the job. I want to give him a $500 gift card, and meet him personally for taking on the job. Hopefully, he can treat his girl or wife to some nice dinners or what ever... so Jamie, and Mak Haik, who I was becoming frustrated with, explained to me, that he was their best technician, and was why they assigned him to the job... and with never doing this before, was the reason for the lengthy time... She said this kid is only 22 years old maybe?? She said he soaks everything up like a sponge... The motor runs great, but there is a clunking sound what sounds like it’s on the left side when I hit an unusual bump... I’ve slid up underneath it, and can’t see or feel anything obvious... but the engine runs great, and I’m anxious to meet him, and thank him... ?

In college, I had a summer job in the oil patch in Alberta. At our service yard, we had this relic of a gas-powered pressure washer that looked like a still on wheels. It had a reservoir that powdered laundry detergent was added to, if soapy water was needed. It was great for cleaning crude oil from our equipment but we would also use it to clean our trucks.

One day, the big boss told me to wash his new car and to make sure I washed the engine bay. Being the good summer student I was, I put in a scoop of soap, fired up the washer and went to work. In a short while, I noticed it had peeled the paint right off the power steering pump, then part of the air filter cover. I stopped and that’s when I noticed the paint on the fenders and grille was blistering like crazy and my arms started stinging. What the what?

The crew from the night before decided to use it to remove paint from some equipment and filled the reservoir with paint stripper. Of course, they didn’t empty the reservoir or clear out the lines when they were done.

Man, did the boss rip those guys a new one!

100%

Yes, and those same geniuses worked around deadly H2S gas and volatile crude condensate everyday.

btw - you’d be surprised how shiny an air cleaner or power steering pump is without any paint.

This threw me off for a minute. Thinking "That's an amazingly clean engine bay on your Ran... er.. Wait a second that's not a Ranger setup is it? It looks so close but yet different." Then I realized it's an Everest.
