They dont go on the floor of the back of the front seats to help cover up these bolts. That got vacuumed up at the car wash.

Did they really get vacuumed up?!? o_O

I can confirm that the OP's piece is the seat bolt cover because I had to pop mine out to install Seat Jackers.

And I think they are different sizes from front to back.

These come off way too easy, as cabose found out.
Every time I clean the back, one comes off & I need to go search
in the shopvac.

Or Ford did a half ass job trying to delete something else from 2023 models. Perhaps they thought someone would notice it more and so decided not too - cause you know - it’s more noticeable than missing hood struts, aluminum fenders, LED headlights on Lariats.
they pop off way to easy. I had a lose one lying around too. It didn’t give me a satisfying click when I installed it back in. Will see how long it stays. I am OCD on something like that.

Mine clicked in pretty positively - wonder if they got sloppier in subsequent years?

I have a 2023 Ranger Tremor and I found this on the floor of the truck a week ago. It clearly belongs to the truck, but I can't find the hole that it snaps into. Can anyone here help?

For some reason, Ford likes to give everything two part numbers; An internal (Engineering P/N) and an external (Service P/N). The molded-in P/N is the Engineering P/N.

This is correct. There are actually eight of these per vehicle. They cover the mounting bolts of the seat tracks. Four each for the driver's seat and front passenger seat (front/back and left/right).
Hi DK,

Yes...the Engineering Part number and the service part number do not always agree. Engineering part number differs by the last suffix ALFA letter based on a revision. A substantive change might affect the part number by the first Alfa letter... Service uses a single digit and usually a Z in the part number...Reason old part number and new engineering part number are interchangeable and does not require part stockage of both part numbers. In other words the old part is still good to go, ie interchangeable for function/appearance!

Make sense?

best,
Phil

Phil, do you see a service number here? Because I'm sure I'm gonna need some of these in the future!

If you don't vacuum the truck you won't get these in the shop vac.

Hi Dave,

It can be cross referenced by the Dealer. Likely it will start KB3Z... There may be several engineering part numbers associated with one service number.... Confusing?

Best,
Phil

Very easy way to prevent them from comming off....
Get 8 Ford Bed Tie Down's...2 per cover.
Bolt a tie down to each side of the cover, making sure bolts go thru floor.
Then simply use some 1 inch wide ratchet straps to keep them in place...
Easy Peasy !!!

Wow! You did it. We can now order them if we lose them...and I'm sure I'll lose a few over time. The only thing is, when I pull up that link it says it will not fit a 2023 Ranger. It appears from that page that it is for 2019 and 2020 only. Probably the same but who knows.
