I am having issues with my neck, and driving is even worse as the headrest tilts my head down a bit. I have thought about heating and bending the bracket/bars at the point the come out of the headrest, so the up/down function would still work, if I could take them out of the fabric. I also assume that the bars are hardened steel because they are a safety devise. So, as I write, I'm actually having to rule that out.

Any ideas?

i though it was adjustable if you grab the top of the head rest and pull forward it should tilt forward thought it had a few clicks then if you pulled it all the way forward and released it snapped back to upright position

Yes, but the angle still forces head forward

Maybe I have curvature of the spine or something but not matter where I adjust my headrest I have to lean my head back to contact the head rest. So your problem seems hard to understand for me.

Your best bet is to put padding on the seat back itself to force your spine forward away from the headrest. I have the same issue, especially when driving off-road for extended periods of time.

I had a friend who had similar issues with his neck and seating position and he found by using one of the neck pillows you use on an airplane helped him a lot. Might be something to try?

I don't think my head even touches the head rest.
Just how big is your head?

I know exactly what he’s talking about because it does me that way also. I like to sit straight up, but if I do, the headrest does seem to put my head forward a little. But , if I set the back down a little bit that helps my neck situation. I have found my happy medium.:)

Thanks, I tried, but that only affects back angle, not neck angle.
In the past I was able to remove a headrest and flip it around and reinsert it facing the opposite direction but that was in one of my Dodge Sheriff's vehicles, not sure if it can be done in ours. Wonder if a rear seat (if you have a crew cab) would fit in the front seat holes?

It’s a ratcheting style headrest, so you can adjust it however you like, just pull on the top of it as someone above mentioned. Sounds like you need to work on your posture too. I know i’ll get neck and lower back pains if I sit wrong
