Someone I know hacked his out and the truck was fine

I wouldn't recommend it, sounded horrible

Buy a decent catback instead

No problem Here !
Do your own thing..dont listen to the bashers! (You can always put it back on if you don’t like it )

As a happy medium, there's always the option of deleting the factory muffler and adding an aftermarket one.

I saw a post around here about a guy who put in a Magnaflow muffler only, it sounded alright.

Sound is subjective, the purists won’t like it, but no fartcan sound and everyone that hears it loves it. Sounds just like I lwanted it and great at the Drag Strip..:)
Heres my Unleashed Tune with the muffler delete.

From what I’ve heard the only way to get rid of the 4 cylinder sound is to have unequal length headers which I guess can’t be done with our turbo integrated to the manifold.. otherwise it’s something I’d definetly look into to

Fuel mix a little leaner than I anticipated, but nice numbers!

I deleted my muffler and had no error codes.

I just hated the sound and installed a Flowmaster clone and that helped a good bit.

When I started getting crazy money offers for my truck I put the factory setup back on in case I decided to sell.

It's still there.

Thanks!
A/F is not correct as it was on the deceleration.. :)
Lamda was within normal limits .
I need to data log my stock ranger and review the fuel curve for that rpm range. I've only custom tuned port fuel injection engines before, so curiosity around direct injection is on my mind.

As of right now I have a Flowmaster 40 series only. Cold start it has a loud deep tone, but once engine warms up its subtle and you only here the loudness under WOT.

I like the tone so much once I get around to a full exhaust I was probably going to stick to Flowmaster.
