I go back to Dr. next week and was going to try anything to get back behind the wheel , I know you are not supposed to drive with a boot on , but this looks like a loop hole to me ... anybody ever have to drive with one?

Many years ago I had a friend who had the real-deal professionally installed hand controls on several of his vehicles.

My advice, be very careful. Your brain is not used to controlling speed and braking with your hands. If one of your feet works, be prepared to stab the brakes with it if at all possible. It is super easy to get confused and do the wrong thing with hand controls if you've been able-bodied driving all of your life.

That looks like an accident waiting to happen...

Go out back and get a stick it would be cheaper and probably be just as effective...

I already tried some different length sticks secured with zip ties and duct tape , but these have clampy things and are all "legal like"... I think 🤔...

I think you should wait until the boot is off, otherwise you might need two boots and a neck collar, or worse.

I hope you’re oot and aboot soon.

Biggest problem with hand controls is that in a panic mode you may confuse hand/foot operation and instead of using hand signal, you may end up doing this to indicate turns......

Just a heads up you need a different drivers license for hand controls.

i don’t comment much but when I do it’s usually to offer a contrarian opinion and to make fun of overly cautious Karens. But in this case, I have to agree:

That thing looks sketchy as hell!
