When I got in my truck this morning to go to the doctor, I noticed something was added to my guages display. When in "D" (drive) there is now a small section that pops up on the center-right side showing which gear my truck is in. This wasn't there yesterday when I was running errands.

And, no, I don't have it in "S" or "Sport mode", that mode automatically brings up the tach on the left side with the selected gear indicated on the lower right corner of the Guage and this new thing disappears.

I didn't have any notification that the truck I stalled an update or anything.

I don't imagine it's an issue or anything. Just thought this was interesting, and curious to know if anyone else has this?

When in D, pressing the +/- button on the shifter brings up the list of gears - pressing the - button subtracts gears from your transmission‘s choices.

When in S, pressing the +/- button brings up manual shifting - shows up in a different area on my XLT cluster - be careful here because if you do not shift up when necessary, KABOOM!

I'd welcome it somewhere on the display at all times.

It's now almost second nature for me after I start the truck.

Since most of my driving is local with Zero highway, the first thing I do is lock out 9 and 10.

The truck is much happier that way.

To give you an idea of my local drives, the lifetime average speed of my truck is 26mph. :p

I had always put the truck in tow mode and lock out 9 & 10 around town.

It increased my gas mileage. My area is kind of hilly tho. The factory transmission mapping is garbage unless you live in a mostly flat area.
Its crappy on flat land too!! I drive in town in sport mode. Unless on the highway or towing

You pushed the +/- button on the shifter. Congratulations
I do that sometimes to bring up what gear its in so I can see what it thinks, the RPMs are always 1k lower than I think it should be, I have the Sport Dash ....
dont hit +/- in (S) mode, then it makes you shift until you put it back in (D) learned that the hard way ...

Press and hold the + on the shifter for a moment and it should return it back to auto shift when in sport mode (you should see the number gear indicator on the bottom left of the info screen disappear to confirm it’s no longer in manual mode).. pretty sure that’s how mine works (23’ xlt tremor) instead of having to move from S to D back to S… anytime I seem to grab my phone I bump the dang button. Much easier imo

Yup just confirmed it, (in sport mode) if you happen to bump it into manual just press and hold the + it’ll go back to auto… although I did notice from parked I can’t shift into sport mode.. I have to shift to D let go of the stop pedal let the truck nudge forward a tick brake then I can shift into sport…never noticed that before..
Any of y’all have that same thing going on? Is it some weird safety “feature”

Dang...
I learned something new today, and all that time I'm shifting it back to D then back to S at every stop light, I like driving on Sport mode but I will up shift manually at times when I dont need the truck to stay on a gear too long.......lol
