Gas Cards….

I do have an Exxon gas card (a lot of them around me) and I get good benefits from them…they even sent me a mug!! ?

However…going on a road trip in a week and I see BP has a Visa card that will give me .30 cents off a gallon for 60 days then .15 cents off after.

Tempting but the thought of yet another card. ? Plus we will be passing past a BucEees so that’s already 2 fuel stops there.

I use the Conoco App. It works with Conoco, Phillips 66 and 76 gas stations. I save $0.25-$0.28 a gallon each time and it did not require me to get a credit card. Just a thought

The one place in my town with a gas card that will save you 10 cents usually has gas 20 cents higher than the cheaper places in town lol.. so I don't bother.

Check the store apps. WaWa for example has 15 cents off per gallon for just using the app, no card stuff required.

GasBuddy helps me but local Thornton stations have been beating his prices.

I would think GasBuddy would be beneficial on a trip. Tie a debit card to it for their discount.

OP, my suggestion is to shop for groceries at Harris Teeter(Kroger). They do 5x points on Friday and periodically put gift cards on 4x. I buy Amazon, eBay, and Lowes Gift Cards. A $250 gift card on 4x gets you a dollar off up to 35 gallons of gas. Last week I pumped 35 gallons of premium for about $.32. That was $136.85 worth of gas. My Visa gives me 3% back on all grocery purchases so a $250 gift card is worth $42.50 in gas.

BJ's warehouse club gives .10 off a gallon with their card, and their price is usually lowest in my area.

sams club normal member card allows a nice discount on fuel at sams and wally world. sams gas is typically best price in my area.

I have a Costco membership but the gas lines are always so long! Need a full tank to burn just to sit in line to wait for gas! ?

In my area the Circle K has a card you link to the bank (they said they are getting a prepaid version soon). That card had an intro period of 20 cent off per gallon on top of it's 10 cent per gallon off. But if you buy premium on Thursday, even with out a card you get 20 cent off per gallon. So on the intro period on Thursdays I was getting 50 cent off per gallon for the first 60 days or 100 gallons.

USAA American express card gives me 5 Percent cash back on gas everywhere. I like it. Currently its over 20 cents a gallon sadly.
