Holy crap. I remember when disc golf began. It was around 1980 when a local park put one in. Back then it was just regular ole frisbees. I had never heard of weighted discs until your last post. That's a public menace.
There are several frisbee golf parks around, but this one has a goal just a few yards from parking. I'd like to know who thought that was a good idea.

There's a FG course at the park that I like to ride my bike on, but I park on the other side of the park away from it specifically to stay as far away as possible, like 5 miles away lol. The course even has holes (or whatever you call those metal chained things) that are pretty close to the street. I wouldn't be surprise a few have hit cars on the street driving.

Yeah, I blame the course design more than I blame the players. There is a goal just a few yards from parking. How freaking stupid!

I guess it's similar to building houses crammed up against a golf course. I don't feel sorry for the broken windows, you knew what you were getting into.

But the parking lot next to a public FG, not bright.

Wherever I’ve seen these courses, they tended to be an add-on to a public park or recreation area. I know of one that replaced the outdoor training circuit that no one used. Well, except that one guy, that one time.

It ran the outer perimeter of the park in the middle of an urban centre - square, with streets on all four sides - three of them busy. You can guess what problems that caused. ?‍♂

the university I attended had an "unofficial" course on campus when I started that was quite popular. the university got tired of replacing the glass on its streetlights and other problems (which included LOTS of dented cars in the on-street parking areas) and so it got baskets and made an official course with less chance of the discs causing damage.

I played a lot back then because my dorm was right in the middle of the course. I haven't played in quite awhile, even though there are a few courses pretty close to where I live right now.

I do pay a lot of attention to disc golf course layout when I'm parking near one, though. maybe an inordinate amount of attention.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I guess you can start a frisbee collection for resale on eBay to recoup you repair costs, I hear some of those high end weighted frisbee's cost $$$. My GK's play, and I have joined them a few times, but they are really good and have a case full of them.

My grandma used to say bad luck came in 3's, so... I suppose park your car there today and be done with it.
Well in that case, when I scraped the concrete parking barrier just before the first disc damage, I would call that #1. Then the two disc strikes. Does that count?

So I contacted the parks and rec department via email today. They sent me a link for a form to fill out for a claim to the city. We'll see how that goes. Kudos to fast response.
