That looks really really good.. I tried zooming in and I’ll never be able to look hard enough to see it..even with my glasses on ?.
it’s a very annoying situation for sure, but are you happy with the repair and that’s what matters..
aside from the chip still being there that sucks regardless..
my friends would just say “now your truck looks more like a truck.” ?
(they all have dents chips and bent tailgates from hauling materials too long for the bed and other truck activities ?.)
Yeah, I am going to have to stop looking at it. I don't think anybody else is going to notice if I don't point it out.

I gotta give props to Ace Collision in Madision, Va. They were very up front about the whole thing from the get go. They were very optimistic yet made sure I knew it could be a challenge. When things went wrong with the chip, they called me and were very apologetic and discussed my options.
When I picked it up, the Ranger had been cleaned inside and out. Was not expecting that. So glad I didn't go to the PDR guy who said he could probably fix it, even though the expected cost was much less. He didn't have a shop, just a mobile guy.

Yeah, the shop I went to in Warrenton VA, cleaned my truck inside and out, even shined the tires/wheels. Saved me the cost of getting it detailed. That's the kind of stuff that creates return customers and good reviews.

Total bummer but looks like a pretty damn good repair. I feel your pain, i was driving my sportsmobile down a national forest road when some kids in a day use area thought it was funny to throw rocks at cars from bushes and hit my driver door and leaving a good dent. I slammed on the breaks and drove back to the day use area, the kids had run off and the parents did not understand any English it was a very frustrating situation.

Picked up the Ranger today after the PDR plus touch up repair. The fender turned out pretty good. Only someone looking really hard in really good light could find it. The rear cab corner, where the paint chipped in the process isn't terrible, better than before, but a little more noticeable. To properly correct it would probably 4 or 5 times the cost. And I did not want to file a claim for this.

I would have never guessed they could do that good of a job. Especially on the fender.

Sadly they wouldn't. Because today they'd call DSS on their parents if they even laid one finger on them! I'm SO glad I was raised back when I was because it really did make me a better person then the little brats today!

So true I have seen firsthand what happens when a spoiled brat thinks they have the right to threaten their parent doing that.

When I was a young brat, I thought it would be funny to launch a big snowball at a car from a ditch. The car slammed on its brakes, instantly found me (the ditch provided no cover) and commenced to complain about the the pop he spilled. (Pop = soda in Ohio). He said he wanted x amount to replace the pop and for clean up. I ran inside, grabbed some lawn mowing money and gave it to him. He was satisfied and drove off. If my Dad found out, oh boy! Got lucky!
