anybody replacing oil plugs with fumoto plug
I have been using them on all my vehicles for the last 20 years. I have one waiting to install at my '23 Ranger's first oil change.

I used to run them on my diesel VWs and have been debating on getting one for the Bronco and now the Ranger.

I've had one on mine for about 3.5 yrs now. I bought the extension, and soldered 2 copper crush washers together for between the extension and valve. No issues other than it takes 10-15 min for all the oil to drain.

I've been using them for ages! I have one sitting on the workbench waiting on the first oil change on the Ranger.

I never used either before, but the Shrockworks skid plates I have are a PITA to remove for oil changes so I decided to get one. I looked at both Fumo and Vmax, then chose Fumo because it seems easier use without removing the plate. It's still waiting for install on my next oil change, which I'm holding off for another ~month until wheeling season is done. The plates will come off for a full underside wash, oil change, then rust control application.

I'm also not looking forward to the slow oil draining time when doing oil changes, so depending on how that goes, I may just fab up a new mounting system for the plates, and remove the Fumoto valve down the road.

Yes...speeds up oil change...I attached a 10" rubber hose extending around skid plate...

Have a Valvomax on the Ranger, haven't drained oil with it yet but appears well built.
Have a Quick Valve installed on the boat and its anything but quick, but doesn't leak oil which is a good thing. I run a nice long hose out the drain hole and let the oil drain into a jug on the ground while doing other maintenance.

The only drawback with this valve is the orifice is smaller than no plug so it drains slower...no worry...grab a beer and finish up after...

Another drawback with attaching an extension hose is that you'll get post piss drip...not a big deal if you don't park in garage...I solved that with a cork...

Looks like you'd have to remove the skid plate to use it.
The Valvomax comes with a drain tube. Used it several times.....clear tube drains right into the container without removing the skid plate. Here's a glimpse of the drain valve......on their website too!

I stuck a bolt into the hose for peace of mind but the first time I didn't an I didn't get a drip on my garage floor. Maybe I got lucky an got a better sealing one.

I kept mine from the ranger for the bronco but I may not do my own oil changes on this vehicle. After I burn up the ford points I'll decide if I'll reuse it or not.
