I’ve been going to do this for a while but never got around to it until now so I’ll try to keep it updated.

From the day the Ranger was announced that it was coming back I told my wife that we would be buying one. It took until August 30, 2019 but it was worth the wait to get exactly what we wanted for a price that we were willing to pay. It came from Bourgeois Motors in Elmvale/Midland, Ontario.

This is how it looked on the dealer’s lot.

This is it when we picked it up. I had the dealer swap out the upgraded 18” Sport wheels for the base 17” Sport wheels.

This is just after I got it home and gave the truck it’s first wash.

It was tough to do but we picked the truck up on a Friday and drove it minimally over the weekend before we had 3M PPF put on the front of the hood and all the white area below the headlights and grille.

We had the front windows tinted at the same time, at the same place that did the PPF.

Two days later I dropped the truck off at Line-X and had the bed sprayed. 45 minutes and it was done!

Next up was to put on the Undercover Ultra Flex tonneau, bed light, truck luggage bag and Husky Liners that I had waiting in the garage.

Go Rhino Dominator DSS step bars were next. I wanted something that added protection but didn’t stick out as far as most of the other boards that were available. I have some 1/2” thick flat bar that I may use to bring them out just that 1/2” further.

LED mirror puddle lights from Amazon were added next. They are much brighter than the stock yellow looking lights, below are a few comparison shots.

Next up were some simple stick on changes. First was some DKM tailgate letters from eBay.

I may redo this a little wider, but I applied some 3M PPF to each door opening on the rocker.

I took the truck to Krown Rust Control for its first of what will be many annual trips. I’ve taken my Mazda for the last 9 years and it’s looking great after all those harsh, salty Ontario winters!

These General Grabber ATX tires weren’t even on my radar until my brother-in-law told me he could get me a great deal on them because he works for Continental. The price he told me was unbelievable so I thought I better give them a try in a 265/70R17. They’ll be going on in the spring mounted to whatever wheels I pick out over the winter.

Dang you weren't kidding, our trucks are twins. You're a little farther ahead with mods but otherwise, wow

I think they are pretty much as identical as it gets, right down to having the upgraded wheels then switching to 17”, we just did it in different ways.

Nothing much new on the Ranger over the past month as it’s been pretty cold and snowy.

I removed the factory Hankooks and installed 265/70R17 Cooper Discoverer M+S winter tires but I just realized I haven’t taken any photos of them. I did put one of the 265/70R17 Generals on the spare rim and flipped it for easy tire pressure checks.

Next up was a tailgate damper. I bought the ROW Ranger one for $18 off Amazon and made a bracket from some scrap steel.

The only other thing I’ve done is added the Truxedo tailgate seal. I only put it on the sides because that’s the only place I’ve noticed water come in and it wouldn’t stick very well to the Line-X anyway.

A few more goodies ordered up last week and I’ll post some pictures when they get here and I install them - Eibach front and rear shocks & struts, RokBlokz XL flaps, Bora 1” wheel spacers and a Raptor grille.

Everything has arrived except the Raptor grille. One of the Eibach struts was shipped wrong so I won’t be able to install them yet. This afternoon I put on the BORA spacers and RokBlokz XL flaps.

Nice work!! When you changed the puddle lights did you have any issues with flickering? Was it simple? Link to the ones you bought. Thanks.

I’ve been running the 265/70R17 Coopers since October and put on the spacers a week ago along with the RokBlokz. While I’m not positive it was necessary, I pushed the front crash bars forward and I have lots of clearance at the factory ride height.
