a year or two ago i made semi cheeky comment about fuel in oil being normal for direct injection style engines and not to worry. im sure i added some sarcasm. another person in the thread was offended and told me to leave his thread in a rude way lol. being kind, i did. Now time to point out that said member is still driving his ranger with the fuel in oil all these miles later and no report of issue or failures. while it may be petty - I must thank him for proving my point.

We’re killing the engines in our Rangers while Ford is twisting the legality frame letting it happen.

Let's see the proof. You surely have some right? UOA's that show way above average metal contents?

Right?

So, if one has 2% Fuel Dilution, then what? You're not going to fight over your vehicle?

Why does one need any proof? The issue is some of us have a FUEL DILUTION going on, some drive without having any notion about it while others don't care for whatever reason I would never understand. I don't have time to sit on this forum, providing proof or trying to convince anyone. Does anyone want to own and drive a healthy vehicle?
Lad, follow or get out of the way. Fight or hide. It's up to you folks.
Blessed day, y'all

But you do have time to sit on this forum seeming to beg members to join you in a class-action lawsuit? Forgive me, but some of your posts about this reek of desperation. I'm not at all discounting the fuel dilution issue for some of us, but most of us don't seem to have it in any overwhelming amount...and yes, I'm one of those owners happy to motor along not knowing or caring what my particular percentage of dilution is, if any.

I don't see any reason for you to get snippy because we aren't all jumping on the litigation train and because some of us ask for proof of your contentions.

Hypothetically, if the FUEL DILUTION case is won, you are not telling me that you would not jump in to replace your engine, wouldn't you, Chris?
Let someone do the legwork, right?
Ride on, bud.

I change my oil by campfire light while puffing on a big Bob Marley with inch and a quarter chunks of flaming ash dropping from it , if there were any fuel in my excessive spillage, then I would expect a much bigger boom ? than what I've had in the past...

Jump in? No. I try not to jump. If this IS a really bad issue, I suspect Ford is already doing the legwork to address it and yeah, I'm tickled shitless to let them...or you, even...to handle it. And yes, I will absolutely ride on.

And thanks for the snippy reply. Well done!

These class action lawsuits tend never go anywhere unless you find a lawyer willing to take the case or have very deep pockets. Then you might get lucky and it goes to court only to have the manufacturer drag it out so long you'll most likely be on to your next vehicle by the time anything comes of it. I'm not saying there isn't a problem for some but it doesn't seem like it's a major one as many here have no issues with theirs. If it bothers you that much I'd sell it and move on instead of constantly trying to get a select few to jump on this band wagon with you.

You need proof because you're talking about pursuing a legal case. Without some level of proof of harm to you, the case goes nowhere. And proving that you have some level of fuel dilution is not proof of harm.

Hi Chris,
This is Val. I feel your struggle as well. I may assist you in communicating with a specialist who is a mechanical engineer and my delegate on this case. I believe you and him can find a common understanding. If you wish to proceed, let me know how you'd like to connect away from this social media. Thank you.

I usually dip my spliff into the oil to leverage those resins and aromatic vapors, no fuel dilution no cry.

Hello, Val.
As the registered name on the syberorange account, imagine my surprise at my not having been communicating with you all this time...and instead communicating with some random minion, or a bot, or maybe NOW I'm communicating with a bot??? Your current word choice would certainly suggest the latter.
In either case, you misunderstand as I'm not struggling at all. I believe it was the previous correspondent on your account on this particular thread that is struggling with our collective declining to join a supposed lawsuit. I have no interest in leaving this site to discuss anything with either one of you.

And before either of you asks...no, I'm not interested in swapping bumpstops that will fit a Toyota.

Have a blessed day, both of ya.
