That is why options are good...... I didn't want to remove my skid plate and @Heavy Duty 's hitch option was perfect for me (well, the latest iteration is PERFECT - mine is almost perfect) :)
Funny thing is I have the snowsport plow but I don't seem to get motivated to use it. This is my 2nd snowsport hitch as I have one on my 01 Ford Explorer Sport Trac.
I use the hitches to move my trailers as I seem to be better at manuvering them when the trailer is in front of me. I could also mount a winch but haven't had the need as offroading is not my gig.

I don't know why, but I expect water to squirt out of that thing. Like it's got a mouth and creating a fountain.

Heres the current offset hitch design, fresh from powdercoating today.

soooo....what does one of these bad boys cost? and how much disassembly does it require to mount it up? does sem like it'd make moving my boat into a tight storage unit a bit easier than the frequent getting-out-and-checking-100-times that I'm doing currently ;-).

I've got the install down to about 15 minutes. First timers usually have it done around 30min. Remove the skid plate and tow hooks using 15mm socket. Trim a piece of plastic and slip the hitch up behind the bumper using the same hardware as the tow hooks. Reinstall everything and you're done.

I'll send you a message on price.

Got my new offset hitch from Heavy Duty installed today on my Lariat FX4. Tucks up in there nice and neat, ACC stays in factory location, factory FX4 skid plate bolts right back in place, and there's still room to tuck in a set of Rigid pods. One of these days, I'll get my Rigids put back in and wired up ( I installed them years ago but never got around to hooking them up, so took them out until I can actually wire them up).
