I mean, it still hurt.
I don’t believe you.- I am not changing gears, but you guys do nice work!
I have 35" on my Fx4 XLT and never use 10th gear unless I am going down hill or just coasting. When off roading, in 1st gear, granny range, I am still rolling too fast when I need to use engine braking to creep down steep inclines. Definitely would like to go 4.46 gears up front and in back.First off unless there is a problem with your transmission (and I mean major problem) there is no way you are lugging.
Second, unless you are going bigger like to a 35 you have no need for a re gear. I ran 33's on my 2019 and did just fine.
What could be your problem is the tire choice you have. For example I went with the Firestone Destination XT Wich weighs in at 51 lbs a piece. Compare that to a KO2 in the same size and load range(load E to be exact) and the tire is 58 lbs a piece. Go to a mud terrain and you can forget it.
Put simple the tire you have may just be to heavy. If you haven't done so already just get it tuned. Also tow mode seems to help a bit for daily driving.
EDIT: was going through your build page(some neat stuff to say the least) and saw you already have it tuned. With that said if you are only running 87 I suggest going to a higher octane fuel like 91. It will make a difference on driveability and most likely a difference MPG as well as long as you are trying to drive for MPG.
How many miles do you have, and have you had any issues arise from having those heavy of tires, I just put the same size of tires that are about the same weight as yours on my new Bronco and looking to see if there's any problems I will have in the future.I have 35" on my Fx4 XLT and never use 10th gear unless I am going down hill or just coasting. Even with only 33's it drives so much better in every aspect.I have 35" on my Fx4 XLT and never use 10th gear unless I am going down hill or just coasting. That's an installer problem there. No one else has had issues.Well, put mine in 4-Hi and 4-Low today for the first time after the 4:46 swap (FT and RR)..... damn thing makes a large knocking/clunk sound in the front that you can feel with every axle rotation above 10 MPH. About ready to give this off-roading hobby and Ford the middle finger and get back into road racing.... far fewer problems tracking my past cars than I've had with this damn truck.... and it hasn't even been off road yet..... F***ing frustrating! Sorry guys, needed to vent.

I ordeed the front one from ebay and the wrong gears were on the box. I counted the ring and pinion teeth and verified they were wrong.Possibly.... the ring and pinions came from 2 different sources. The rear R&P was a new Dana 4:46 from Bronco Graveyard. The front 4:46 came from a mechanical engineer (employed by Ford) up north that purchased a new 4:46 M190 FDU from Ford for his base model Bronco. He was going to swap out the front FDU's but changed his mind after he was past being able to return it. We came to an agreement on price and he was nice enough to remove the R&P (welded to carrier), bearings, etc and send them to me. I could be wrong, but it feels like, and may be, a front/rear ratio mismatch. Will have to put it on a lift and rotate-to-calculate the ratios to make sure someone didn't screw up and send me the wrong ratio..... regardless of fault, it's still frigging frustrating.
That's really frustrating, I'm sorry you're dealing with that.Well, put mine in 4-Hi and 4-Low today for the first time after the 4:46 swap (FT and RR)..... damn thing makes a large knocking/clunk sound in the front that you can feel with every axle rotation above 10 MPH.
