So over this weekend I hit the “annoying horn button“ twice wile I was working with the key fob in my pocket. So my question is can that be turned off?
thanks
That is the reason I got Forscan along with Bambi mode, so as NotBudule said, yes..

It can be set to require a double click or disabled entirely. Oh, by the way its in the BCM under Panic Alarm.

I like my panic button...
Mine has been used far more to annoy the wife vs any sort of real panic. Like; a day ago.. when she went to get the mail.

I think I have bumped it maybe twice since I have owned it. Last car I hit it like once a month because of how my other keys would push against the fob in my pocket.

Might get in trouble doing this in a crowded parking lot lol...

I really want to get an air horn. I had one on a Hyundai Elantra and loved it. Burnt up the compressor.... between excessive use I also had it tied in to the horn relay so it would go off on the panic button or alarm.

That was the car I pushed the button on by accident monthly at least.. I'm sure people loved me for that. Amazed I never got key'd or a window broken.

That is weird you don’t have that power distribution screen. I have a plain XLT 4x4 and I have that screen. But like everyone else says it doesn’t do anything with part time 4wheel drive. Have it on our escape and it still doesn’t show how much power to each wheel. Shows whether the front or back end has more power going to the wheels (it’s an AWD escape).
it’s weird that a screen that doesn’t do anything for us is enabled and the off road gauge which does work isn’t. I don’t really off road - some back country roads at best - but It’s just cool to have the gauges more than anything else really.

It sounds like we're not supposed to have the power distribution screen (unless we turn it on ourselves) since we're not AWD, and it doesn't actually function on our trucks when turned on.

You should have both off road (angle) and power distribution screens active and working with the factory FX4 package. Both screens work fine on my 2020 XLTFX4 and all other FX4's I'vs looked at.

The power distribution screen will only show distribution between the front and rear axles. It will not show distribution to each individual wheel.

Here are the screens again.

Both screens should be available and fully functioning with all Rangers with the FX4 package.

The Power Distribution screen on a Ranger is a useless function. In 2wd you will see 0% to the front and 100% to the rear. In 4x4 you will see 50/50. My 21 Lariat Tremor does not have the power distribution screen.

Since there is no center differential like an AWD vehicle 1/2 the power goes to the front axle and 1/2 to the rear all the time in 4x4.

I am at a loss on why some of you do not have the power distribution screen with your FX4 since it should be available and working.

I do have the 302A package but that should not effect anything with the FX4 package. The 302A package adds the following features:

  • Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror
  • Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel and Shifter
  • Power-Folding Sideview Mirrors w/Power Glass
  • SiriusXM® Satellite Radio

  • SYNC® 3
    ● Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC)
    ● Enhanced Voice Recognition Communications and Entertainment System
    ● 8" LCD Touchscreen in Center Stack with swiping and pinch-to-zoom capabilities
    ● Pinch-to-zoom capability included with available Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System ● AppLink®
    ● Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM
    ● 911 Assist®
    ● Smart Charging USB ports – two (2)
  • 8-Way Power Driver and Passenger Heated Seats w/Power Lumbar
  • Manual-Sliding Rear-Window
  • Remote Start
  • Sport Appearance Package (selection of Chrome Appearance Package (76G) removes Sport Appearance Package)
The FX4 is a separate package and should not be effected by the 302A package. I didn't look at any 2019 FX4 Rangers so maybe there was a change with the 2020 and newer trucks.
