I'm on the AAWireless list and can tell from the updates he must be putting a lot of time and effort into that! There have been challenges with supply and having to find ways around them including redesigning for new hardware that is available etc.Guys OBD2AA was developed by the same guy bringing out AAWireless. He paused work on OBD2AA to work AAWireless, but that was before the pandemic hit and the chip shortage. Hopefully he comes back to it once AAWireless stabilizes.
did you try the forscan forum?Anybody know about this?
Hello yes pre collision is on inmy car but in the forscan it's forward collision and it's not enabled.... Then I found an article that I will post a link in here that says in 2020 Lincoln's and Ford explorers some of the forward pre-collision is not enabled in the cars but it's not mentioned that it's the Ranger but yet like I said when I'm driving my car and say somebody slams on their brakes a little bit it does come up on the dashboard but I never really feel the brakes but I've never been that close to an accident that it actually needed to breakIs pre collision assist a menu option on your screen in the truck? And is it toggled off through the steering wheel control?
I ask because I believe I saw something like this when I turned on the street sign reading/display function through FORScan. If I'm right, I basically turned on the function through one FORScan menu, and then using another menu I was able to toggle it on. That second menu to toggle the function on is also a menu on the gauge cluster for turning it on and off. So I'm wondering if some of the FORScan menus replicate the actual menus on the dash.
So I think one of the systems, with the advanced cruise control radar in the lower bumper opening, will actually apply the brakes ahead of a collision. The other system just flashes a warning and possibly pre-loads the brakes, without actually braking the truck. Maybe someone here can confirm that?Hello yes pre collision is on inmy car but in the forscan it's forward collision and it's not enabled.... If u look above in my pics. It has something about a camera....and that's disabled also but I do have the camera for lane keeping etc ...so bizarre.... Here is the link for the 2020 stuff being not enabledSo I think one of the systems, with the advanced cruise control radar in the lower bumper opening, will actually apply the brakes ahead of a collision. Interesting! So it confirms part of my thoughts about the brake pre-loading. And makes me think that you need to maybe take your truck in to the dealership! If u look above in my pics. Should I enable all that stuff with forscan?Interesting! So it confirms part of my thoughts about the brake pre-loading. And makes me think that you need to maybe take your truck in to the dealership!
I imagine it can't hurt!Should I enable all that stuff with forscan?
Yes it pre loads the brakes so not as much force is needed to press the brakes. Language is confusing, and the acc is different as well. The automatic brakes being applied is usually reserved for other suvs and crossovers, soccer mom stuff. If it can be turned on withour pickups??? Try it and find out for us.So I think one of the systems, with the advanced cruise control radar in the lower bumper opening, will actually apply the brakes ahead of a collision. I'm only guessing, but based on other firmware I've played with the firmware option may only enable showing the feature in the dashboard cluster menu. If physically available, it would then need to be enabled in the dash menu as well.Hey gents, I have used the forscan and did the all terrain mod ...and I updated splash screen to raptor....now I have a question. When I key up the car initially raptor comes up...but when I'm parked and getting out the Ford comes back on.....so raptor is there only during startup.....is this correct?
Also I have an Xlt with almost all the Bells and whistles.... While I was looking through the forescan the precollision assist if you look in the picture says it's disabled but yet I have it on my car I don't understand should it say disabled? I have seen it warn me already but I have never felt the brakes......see pic
