Hi All,

I followed the directions on the forscan wiki to disable the doo-doo-doo. But it doesn't seem to work for me and now I seem to have an even more ANNOYING doo-doo-doo!

I changed it to match:
RCMUSTANG
Disables three "doo-doo-doo" start-up chimes from cluster
IPC 720-01-02 xxxx x2xx

Has someone successfully done this? Did I screw something up?

FYI, I was able to successfully change Disable Double Horn Honk and Bambi mode.

This chime is when doors closed engine start up. It worked on mine. If you're door is open you'll have door open, seatbelt and other chimes.

This is weird, but I get in my car this morning, turn it on and NOTHING. Silence! Amazing. I love it!

Yesterday when I was trying it I turned the car off and on 3-4 times and it was still doo-doo-dooing at me but maybe I just wasn't giving it enough time to full reset the system?

Anyway, I confirm this works!!

This doesn't work for me either. My code is normally xxxx-901f, soon as i change the 0 to a 2 it also changes the last 2 digits by itself after i click write. It won't let me just change the 1 digit, the doo-be-doo still plays

The new Forscan has two different choices for each module. You want the one that allows you to just hit the check mark on or off. If you’re doing hex code like shown that as factory. Don’t use that one unless you really know what you’re doing. And ALWAYS back up the module you’re in before making changes!

there is no option for the 3 chime welcome doo-doo-doo under the worded IPC module. Just primary chime location, and seat belt chimes

Gonna bring back this old thread to life, I just tried it and it didn't work. Instead I got a pop-up of what seat belts were buckled and the sound still played.

It also changed my manually entered (last four) 921F to something else. Stock was 901F.

Any help would be awesome, wonder if they changed anything for the 2021 XLT.

I would put it back to original and instead use the other module selection (non as-built) of the module to enter any module changes. I believe the last 4 digits is a checksum and will automatically calculate a new value when a change is made in the as-built, so you don't have to worry about those digits.

Thanks, yeah I didn't see it in the other section. I did return it to original since it wasn't what I was after.

It is the last two digits that are the checksum and you are correct, they auto calculate and you don't need to worry about them. I do agree with you on using the configuration menus when possible. A lot of the changes were figured out before those were available, so the directions use the asbuilt changes.

You have the Hex-Lines Crossed (above)

Your As Built should be: (OEM)

720-01-01 (2FOF-1464-7251) (OEM)
Note: The As-Built data only lists this as (Belt Minder) so unsure if this includes the Chime
so, to disable the Belt Mider change only this - xxxx-xx0x-xxxx (change the 6 to 0)
I am THINKING this only turns off the INDICATION, not the chime.
But it may be required to fully turn off the chime when used in conjunction with the below setting.

Doo-Doo-Doo (Chime on start-up)
720-01-02 (0263-901F) (OEM)
The above posting for this line is (WRONG) - the hex data change is in the wrong spot
The Hex breakdown calls this (Front Seatbelt Warning Strategy)
The OEM has this setting disabled (0=Disabled), however in the notes to Disable the Doo-Doo-Doo chime, change this to (2=Enabled)
(xxxx-x2xx) so change the (0) to (2)
NOTE: Where the CORRECT change is at vs what is posted above (INCORRECT), the 2nd set of hex codes is the (Hex) that needs changed NOT the 1st set.

With the wording of this, I think its stating to disable (bypass) of what is normal (0) being the OEM setting and changing it to (Enable) (2) (Bypass normal) ?‍♂

And to confirm the last (2) Hex of any line = the Check Sum of the line

Just in case I am missing something, IPC as built

720-01-02 from 0263-901F to 0263-921F, then hit write. It gave some check sum error but I continued.

The normal chime was still there but then I had a pop up of the seat belts showing zero were buckled, which was correct. That pop up I have never seen (XLT), kinda cool but not needed. Changed it back to oem.

Maybe I just had a long day (work is insane this time of year) but I think I entered it correctly? Just didnt work on my truck?
