By properly polarizing the magnetic bed and using a steel front bumper, Ford adds an additional 17.4 mph to the top end speed by virtue of the bed trying to catch up to the bumper. :inspect:

I just wonder if this will drive the other truck makers to change over to aluminum beds?
Oh! And jut think of the road debris which will collect atop the magnets?

Here's a vision for ya....
A hunter comes across a Ford pick up way out in the boonies with a shriveled up skeleton in the bed...
Turns out he was out cutting wood and sat down in the bed to take a rest, forgetting the truck bed magnet was activated, and he had a set of keys in his back pocket....
He couldn't get up, couldn't turn the truck magnet off, and became trapped...
His last thought was "wow, what a great ides Ford had" !!!
Why would'nt he have taken his pants off...just saying

The single best truck bed in the business is probably the Honda Ridgeline, because of the trunk and swing tail gate. Both would be super pragmatic and I could see myself using both a lot. One thing I wish Ford has over anything else is the swing gate.
