Seems like more than enough poking out for a good ol' pair of pliers or vice grips.So the bag of bolts I ordered from Amazon arrived yesterday. I gleefully went out and began screwing one in, tightening it with a screwdriver through the eye.
It broke.
How the heck do I get that bolt out now??
Example of why I would just pony up the $$ for the real tie down brackets. What if that broke while something was attached too it, then it flew out of the truck bed
Did you clean the bolt hole out with a tap first? You need to do that with the spray in liner, to get the liner out of the hole. You should not need much force to screw the tie down bolts in. (Your picture doesn't look like the hole was cleared out?)
Opps, maybe I used this 6mm for other holes in the bed for the swing cases. I probably just bought 8mm at Home Depot.
Agree with EH, I noticed the lifeline on the palm of your hand, would you like a reading on that. For that kind of money, I'd be looking at something like this. Stainless, rated for 10,000 pounds, and it'll fold down flat when you don't need it.$47.00 ($31.00 US?) for a bent piece of metal with 2 holes in it....sheesh....and that's WITH a discount!!
