Yes. It's a pain to remove and install the bottom fitting. I would definitely disconnect the battery since your hand will be near the fan during install.
On my 2019 the bottom fitting was the quick connect style. Only the top had the style that needs to be broken in order to remove.

Not on my 2021. That sucker was the same as the top one. I ended up getting a hook pick underneath and turn it to break the orange part.

After calling the techline at Ford Performance, I decided to try the descending hose from my personal 2019 on this 2023 and it fits perfectly. The guys at FP asked what the part number was in the 23 kit and I told them CM-6K817-B23L. They said they'd never heard of anyone having an issue with this kit before. I told them that the CM-6K817-R23L in my 2019 is the correct hose for the 2023 and that (as you can see from the picture), there is no way the hose that came in the kit will fit.

I have a hard time believing that the 2 trucks I bought for the fire department are different than all of your 2023's. For anyone who has installed one, does the hose on the right look like the one that came in your kit ( M-6766-B23 )?

I got an answer from Ford Performance. They said their engineers had confirmed that the M-6766-B23 kit should have the 6K817-R23L hose in it; the same one in the kit for the 2019's. They are overnighting me the right hoses for my 2 trucks.

Anyone who buys the kit for their 20-23 trucks should confirm that the hose that descends towards the turbo is the correct one before snapping the locking collar!

Remote start is my concern
Remote start should be disabled if the hood is open. Test to confirm if you are concerned.

Sounds like someone was moving data between two systems and misread the "R" as a "B" when building the kit or order for it.

Looking more at this, according to CJ Pony M-6766-B23 is the Bronco specific kit. M-6766-R23 is the 2019-23 Ranger kit. Odd that Ford performance is showing different part for 2019 Ranger and common for Bronco and 2020-23 Ranger.

Thanks for confirming this, I received my kit for my 2022 on Monday and it has the CM-6K817-B23L. I’ll contact ford performance.

Fuuuuuuudge. I ordered the kit, for 2019-2023 Ranger (as listed on CJ Pony, an authorized FP dealer), the VC to catch can hose is wrong, guess when I noticed.... of course after braking the clips on the old hose. I guess the 2019 Ranger was the only year to have a sensor on the PCV hose (add that to the deleted parts list?). So, Ranger is offline until I get the right hose, or that 2019 sensor to fill the hole in my hose.

Well, there should be 3 kits. 19 Ranger, 20-23 Ranger, and 21-23 Bronco 2.3. Neither of the current kits will work on the 20-23 Ranger without swapping a hose from the other kit.

Well, I need my truck and got to really looking at those PCV hose ends, the only difference I could see was the orange one time use clips and the blue reusable clips. Well, those clips can be extracted and swapped. so now I have a reusable OE PCV hose. The Thunder rolls again!!

CJ Pony is sending the Bronco kit and has updated their website to reflect the R23 kit is only 2019 Ranger and the B23 kit is 2020-23 Ranger & 2021-23 Bronco. I guess once I get that I'll have a spare separator with B23 lower house and R23 upper hose I'm not using.

Just came across this thread after having the same problem.
Purchased the B23 kit for my '22 Ranger. Found that the supplied hose, CM-6K817-B23L inlet, was not going to make it.
After going through photos of both kits, realized the CM-6K817-R23L inlet from the '19 Ranger kit would be needed. Contacted FP and the send it out. Received yesterday and it fit like a glove.
luckily I was able to twist the connectors and manipulate hose enough to connect (very tight stretch) and could use until the correct part came. I had the Orange connection both sides of original, so no re use there.
Hopefully the 20+ Ranger kit is updated for not many others to have the issue.
Here's them both side by side.

Thanks for posting that. I was about to toss out my OEM PCV hose. I can now save it in case I have to put it back on. No telling if an inspection station will fail my vehicle since the PCV is altered.
