Just an FYI brother. Ford has dropped their U.S. customer service email from their web page. Now, it's all social media contact, i.e. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook. So, G.F.'s youngin' will have a ball sending them your response. I just sent Ford a long, and strong rebuke on Facebook. I don't have much hope that it will do any good, but they can't say I didn't tell them about how I feel about this debicle. :)
Thanks for the heads up Jim. I'll write something up and send it to her, she loves this stuff. I guess time will tell.

It wouldn't have been an issue if Ford kept to their original deal with the timestamps. Yeah Granger is pretty much screwed in this one and my only hope is enough of their customers bail out I move up into their spot. But being a mid October reservation I would need about 80% of them to leave.

Here's a response from the owner to a question asked this morning on B6G. Prettifying sad he won't even get a '22.

For most dealers it will get filled. For us, probably not.
That's rough.

Being a smaller dealership they're probably used to the game. Unfortunately the customers they attracted with such aggressive dealing are not.

Wow, here's the response from Mike Levine basically telling everyone his dealers come before their customers. In other words the big dealers defiantly strong armed Ford to change this from a timestamp system to an allocation system to benefit them! #losingfaithinFord

Mike Levine is, has been, and always will be a total douchebag. His bullshit tweets are part of the reason I cancelled my reservation.

I agree he's an arrogant d'bag! I bet he's going to regret this Tweet. He's already getting a ton of backlash from it.

I thought regret was one of those human traits that the Reptilians have yet to master? Something about a lack of a soul. They must be making emotional advances. ;)

I’m not defending Ford by any means. The reality of this is because of executive decisions. The guys in the trenches building them are in the same boat with us all. It all comes from the top down. Now to add more insult to injury, see all of the container ships docked off shore by the 100’s all over the country. Bet a lot of car parts are on them including the needs chip modules to move built inventory waitin for them.

Won’t be long before the fans in the stadiums across the country change their chants from F Joe Biden to F Ford Motor Co. ?

Time to make parts in US only and Ford needs to start vertically integrating to ensure they have parts needed. Why do we still have stealerhships? I've never had a good experience at a dealer.

Yeah but this latest cluster F has nothing to do with parts constraints. Ford said your timestamp would hold/guarantee your place in line. Now they changed this and put in their allocation system which only benefits larger dealerships while screwing the smaller ones along with the customer.

So now someone with a day 1 reservation is going to have to wait until 2023 because he chose a smaller dealership while someone later on gets theirs before him because his dealer sells a larger volume of Fords? Ford is just showing their true colors and that their customers are not #1. Their larger dealers and big profit are.

That sucks Dave. I know how much you have been looking forward to getting your Bronco based on your posts here. Me personally I would not put up with it and would cancel the order if I felt like I was getting screwed over. I have little tolerance for such things no matter how much I want something.

Kind if makes me think of all the crap that has gone on with Facebook, the data breaches, sold info and other shenanigans. People were up in arms and angry about it. But at the end of the day most kept using it because, "How else am I suppose to stay in touch with my 200+ Facebook "friends" even though Facebook is screwing me over?"

That isn't a judgment of you by any means. It is more my opinion on not putting up with such things. I hope it is sorted out for you and your complaints on the matter are heard.

Thanks Mark but right now it doesn't look good. I really don't understand what Ford is thinking when they decide to screw over a very large customer base by doing this. You're so right with the Facebook analogy and I've always been a person of principle and have been known to cut off my nose to spite my face. There are so many products I won't purchase for certain reasons and have stuck to it to this day.

So this is the most recent post from the owner of the dealership responding to a forum member. My reservation is October 14th and by this post I'll be lucky to make the 2024 cut off. Of course this is barring any more parts constraints or labor shortages.

Thanks for your post. I'm sure that honesty and integrity will pay off off for you in the long term.

With an Oct 2020 reservation, it looks like I'm going to see delivery in 2024, 2025 or later. I have no interested in doing some pathetic dance to find another honest dealer who will also offer a fair price. I'm going to buy a Jeep to use for the next few years until Ford gets its act together.

1) For how many years will you honor the Oct $2,000 under invoice deal?
2) For how many years will Ford give price protection?
3) Are you able to estimate how many years the wait would be based on a customers place in line or maybe by order date range?
1 - It makes no difference to me. Based upon our current estimate of allocation looks like it may be up to 5 years.
2 - It has been mentioned through 2023. I'm not sure where that came from, but I believe that to be accurate for those who are waiting for a Modular painted top.
3 - It is hard to say. 2022 with our best case scenario based upon our current estimate is 7-15. 2023 if we receive the same amount will be 8/27.
2024 would get us through 10/20.
2025 would get us through our October 31st.
2026 would get us through our remaining allocation.

*The Allocation formula is subject to change (hopefully, to our benefit at some point).

I see a lot of post where reservation holders are canceling and just buying a different model Ford . This of course only rewards Ford and the dealers as Ford still makes a sale and the dealer has a Bronco to mark up . Win/Win for them . I have a 7/20/20 res for a 2Dr Badlands and went by my dealer yesterday (one of the larger ones in Alabama) and the Bronco specialist was trying to push a 4DR soft top change if I want my Bronco sooner . I told him nope , that if I couldn't get the Bronco I wanted within a reasonable time that I would just trade the Ranger I bought to tie me over in on a Jeep . Kinda regret even buying the Ranger now . I should have went ahead and bought the Jeep I looked at and rode up in it . At least I'd be driving the Jeep instead of my Ranger being down for a month waiting on a part :(

It's pretty sad Benny that you have a reservation within the first week and still don't have yours and someone with a later one does. Don't get me wrong I love my Ranger and have been lucky (so far) to have zero issues but this has really soured me from getting another Ford in the future. What's going to happen with the new Ranger 6G launch? Will they do the same and tell you it's by timestamp then change it to an allocation?

After the disastrous Explorer launch Ford came out and apologized and said it would never happen again. Fast forward to today and the Bronco launch is 10x's worse. When I finish the job I'm on now I'm going out to test drive some Jeeps. I haven't driven one in many years but I will give them a look now with this latest news.

The supply chain is in sad shape. I just had to buy a dishwasher and basically had to settle for one of the very few options that Home Depot had in stock. The ones I wanted were 6-8 weeks out. Not defending Ford either, but they simply can’t fill orders, mostly for reasons beyond their control.

Granger Ford is really stepping up for their customers. The offer for 4% under invoice on a Jeep includes all models. I'm glad to see there's still some respectable dealers out there even if I have to travel 1,400 miles to get there.

BroncMO said:
Does this include the L or either of the 4xe models?
This would be applicable to all Jeeps for a B6G customer of ours. I feel like this is the least we can do as a goodwill gesture. [email protected] if you'd like to price out a build.
