Most of our younger generation doesn't do this. They don't want the friction and when a dealer tells them a price or they call around and they all hold the inflated price. So the consumer says ok, I guess this is the price I need to pay. Americans have become so lazy and have no sense the value of money, but they will down the road. The dealer I go to cringe when I arrive because they know I will be chiseling on them. The last time the salesman told me they have been beat up enough by my negotiating.
