$74.99 😲. Must be Canadian dollars that would be like $6.00 USD that sounds about what the experience would be worth 😁.
You can blame Canada for creating Poutine, but this slopfest is all USA (VT, NH, MA & ME). All of them are just a short drive from NY. For the low prices of $300USD, you could get the full king treatment across 4 weekends, lol.

In the 51 years I lived in MA I never heard of Poutine. First time was on here and now I have nightmares of it. 😶

It's Canadian, but from rural Quebec. It became mainstream Quebec back in the 80s, then exploded across the country shortly after. I remember McDonald's commercials showing it, maybe 93 or 94.

Originally it's just fries, gravy, and cheese, so not nearly as disgusting as it looks. I'm not a fries guy, or gravy, so I have no interest in it, but I have friends who would crawl broken glass for a bowl of it. I'd rather eat the bowl, lol.

We have a huge show every fall called The Big E (Eastern States Exposition) which is held in W Springfield, MA. There's vendors and people from all over the world there and it's something like 17 days now. Now that you mentioned the fries and gravy I do remember them selling it there and always thought "who would ruin fries with gravy on top" Fries (especially crispy ones) are my Kryptonite and I couldn't fathom putting anything on them but ketchup. I'm with you I think I'd rather eat the broken glass. lol

I am also weak for fries, but I prefer mustard. It provides the tang I need without the high fructose corn syrup.
My wife makes fun of me for eating fries or onion rings with mustard. One day she tried it with onion rings, said she didn't like it but kept on doing it till they were gone.

I buy the Heinz Simply, it doesn't have the HFCS.

That's an improvment, but it still has added sugar. Plain ole yellow mustard has 0 calories.

I use very little ketchup and mustard and never liked my food drenched with them. I do use way too much salad dressing because salads are boring and need flavor so that's the only thing I overdo.

My sugar is perfect (85) and the last thing I'm worried about are calories, I could probably use more as I eat a very lean diet.

But if you are eating fries, calorie counting probably isn’t high on your list of priorities.

I remember back in the early 80's, on Fridays we would go to a local Italian restaurant for lunch. We drank as much as we ate, but they had some fantastic gravy, had a touch of Marsala wine in it. I got hooked on that for a bit. I've had poutine, and the gravy tasted like a cheap salty beef base. Think boullion cubes. Nasty stuff.
I occasionally mix ketchup and yellow mustard for fries, but not very often.

When I moved from East coast to West coast, FL to CA, I was introduced to french fries dipped in mayo like you would ketchup or any other dip. I still do that, but rarely. Bad for the diet.

Duke's Mayo. <-- new argument starter?

I despise mayo as much as my wife loves it.... but when we can get it Duke's is the go-to.
