One band I wish I could have seen in their hey day was Great White. I think they didn't get the airplay they deserved. Their music was unique, the guitar work and subtly was outstanding. 'Rock Me' always takes me back.

Didn't those dudes get burnt to a crisp in a fire where they were playing? Another group I liked that didn't enjoy widespread success was Little Feat, Lowell George was great on vocals and slide guitar and his bandmates weren't slouches either.

They didn't get hurt, but 100 other people in the club died, 200 more injured. Pyrotechnics from the show started the fire in the small club in 2003.

That was the West Warwick, RI fire at The Station Nightclub and I remember that well. They've done several movies and tv shows (CSI Miami had one) trying to portray what had happened that night. Sad that this happened and they never knew the truth because the owners and the bands tour manager got plea deals.
