So stupid question.. how many of you actually clean the blades when/after your car wash? Just a good wipe down will go a long way but occasionally treating them even further. Hey I’m not a meticulous detailer like some Daves I know but it literally takes seconds..
At minimum I'll hit them with the sprayer at the do it yourself car wash. Then perhaps will hand wipe them. I just want to get the dirt and grit off.
I also have RainX with the giant connector but don't have an issue with the sprayer. But the passenger side streaks somewhat in the center from the day I installed them.

I do. I never used to, before I got to know a Dave, now I use 303 and graphene and have a foam cannon and a special brush, get this-- just for cleaning the wheels!

Lol now I'm poor ????

I did mine yesterday, washed the truck and after applying 303 to my tonneau cover and window seals, I pulled the wipers and wiped them down with 303. Still on the OE pair, right at a year now

Wash the wipers? Hell, that's what the windshield is doing when they go back and forth. ?

I'll wash them whenever I wash the windows while I'm at the pump. Get all the junk that the wipers took off of the windshield. I usually replace mine every year when I put on my winter tires, so that I've got a fresh pair going into the harshest season.

Where i live we found out that it doesn't matter if it is bosch, rainx, anco, oem, they all last about 3 to 6 months, due to the junk in the air, we tried grandpa's apple trick, wiper wipes, washing them, ect.. the only thing that helps is rainx or ceramic coating on windshield, no not California or texas but Ohio.

I tried RainX once, and they were easily the worst wipers I've had (and I've bought some remarkably cheap wipers). I don't remember which RainX line I used, and I could have very well just gotten a anomalously bad pair of wipers, but with all the options available I've never felt a need to give the brand another chance.

He said the rubbing the inside of an apple on the blade helps to keep the blades from cracking, i saw some difference on keeping blades from streaking, using once every couple of weeks, but i think it pertains more to older pure rubber blades 50, 60, 70, early 80, and not our silcon blades of today as much..

I was pretty dissapointed with the factory blade freezing up, shortly after getting the truck, so I bought a replacement set of REFLEX Winter Blades (same design as Bosch). Then the factory blades didn't have the issue again, so I still have the Refelex waiting to go on. I noticed some smearing last week, and will probably change them next time I am back home. 2.5 years from the factory blades and I work nights all winter, and bug season runs about the other 7 months of the year, so they get used regularly.

I don't like any rain-x type treatment products on my windshield, so I avoid all their products.

RainX wipers don't put anything on the windshield. Having said that, I use RainX washer fluid.

I've tried Rain-X wipers too on my Honda and I hated them - I'd rather pay more the Champion wipers and they've been doing pretty good.

I did the RainX Endura Blades... lasted 3 months. They were awful. Streaked right thru the driver's sight line too. I went with Bosch and have been much better.
My experience as well had to replace them on both vehicles withing 6 months...never again!
