I’m just interested in hearing if others do the same... I drive the Ranger 99% of the time but I see it as just as much my wife’s truck as it is mine.

She doesn’t care or know much about suspension parts or engine parts or and hard parts like that so I pick all of those out. Anything cosmetic or for the interior I always get her input.

She decided on the Cup Holder Hero colour and she found the Dominator DSS steps that look great. I picked the size of RokBlokz and she decided the black logo would be best. I prefer the Lariat grille but she likes the Raptor grille so we are going to order it and paint it the Lariat Sport Magnetic colour.

She's 5'4" so she usually decides which side steps or nerf bars I buy. I pick everything else for me. This time she says the Ranger is easier to get in even after I put bigger tires on it so I get to spend that money elsewhere lol.

Hi Folks,

Wife is a colorist...I made our 2nd bedroom into her Art studio, so she makes all color related decisions. I make all engineering related decisions but keep her in the loop. She is 5' 1½" so she gets any ingress/egress vote. She has yet to drive the Ranger, but that day is coming as I will be out of commission for some time with cataract surgery mid Dec...

Best,

My wife pretty much stays out of our vehicle selection and purchase. She hates going to dealerships so all the vehicles are in my name. She hates getting new vehicles. Go figure, She still has a Samsung S7 with a stripe running down..she doesn't want a new phone because of setup. We lease her CRV nevertheless. She likes it so she is on her third lease,

She doesn't care what I buy. She knows I won't bankrupt us LOL

No, but he knows I love the Ranger just like it is. I did add the vinyl letters on the tailgate & he thinks it looks great. I prob will add the fold out toolboxes (I know he will like them & use them more than I will). Otherwise, I love the overall (beautiful) “stink bug” design of my Ranger! :inlove:

My girlfriends the same lol. She pretty much doesn't care what I buy but I always show her or run it buy her before hand. She was the one who said I should buy the Icon wheels when I showed her they were buy 3 get the 4th free. I don't really like the ones they're offering so I'm just leaving the sport wheels on for now. She doesn't mind going to the dealership to pick out her new lease every 3 years but other than that everything else it up to me.

I was all set to buy a 2001 Ford Ranger one owner with 48,000 miles on it. My wife said she be afraid to ride in it because it is so old. I am glad she talked me into a new truck, I love the Ranger.

If I didn't tell her, she wouldn't even notice. I have told her about everything I've done, she doesn't always know the cost but sometimes I tell her, ha. On that note I need to update my garage photos, got a few small updates.

I wish you success with your cataract surgery.
Hi Kent,

Thanks. I have put this off for several years and the procrastination paid off as they have new lenses that also correct for astigmatism which means for the first time since I was six years old, I will no longer need glasses. Not cheap at $1200 each eye, but likely worth it... I am nervous about it as if it goes wrong with sight being such a precious commodity....

best,

She certainly has a say in what happens to the truck. Especially since she spends so much time in it too, as it's the family travel vehicle. Some of the mods, like the LED bulb conversions and Raptor-style lights are things she doesn't notice or care about, so I have full reign over that. But things like running boards (which will be added soon), bed usage (topper vs tonneau), kayak carrying methods, etc. we make as a group decision.
