The death of a thousand cuts continues: Ordered the console tray and the ignition shroud.

Installed something slightly more useful than a nightlight to keep the auto-stop off without pushing the button each time. It draws 2 watts.

PXL_20210710_190431778.jpg

Amazon: $8
Practical effect: No more auto stop and no more auto stop button to push each time. And the 10 cubic inches around the device will likely smell better than the rest of the cab.
Time to install: 30 seconds counting removing it from the box

EDIT: This actually didn't work as pictured. Either because the plug tines are too short or because you need a polarized plug (where one tine is thicker than the other). I plugged in a polarized multiplug, 1-to-3, and plugged this into it. Then it worked and turned autostop off whenever the car is running. The outlet draws no power when car is off.

Tomorrow it's mud guards and some hood graphics.

Aside from the tailgate damper, I used plasti dip to black out my trim (couldn’t get my desired options in anything without chrome trim and hated that look). Also added a Bak Revolver X4 and tailgate seal. Was tired of traildust still getting in the back after my bed cover. Ceramic tint to block heat.

My latest update is purely aesthetic. The big orange marker lights kind of stand out on a blacked out build, so I decided to replace them with some I got off of ebay that have a smoked outside with orange LED's. Very easy and inexpensive change; about $35 and 5 minutes of work.

Favorite big mod is the chrome delete paint match of the grill, side vents, tailgate handle, and emblems.

My favorite small mod so far is probably the Ford Pivot Storage Box or “Raptor” style lights.

Added the Husky mud flaps. On Amazon they get mostly 5 star but quite a few 1 star reviews. Both are correct. On the one hand they are thick plastic and should last forever at a good price, on the other the install is a bit of PitA as there's this thick clip you have to squeeze between the fender liner and over the mud flap. No problem on the rear but the front is a tight fit. There's also a bunch of rigmarole with some clear tape that I think you can just ignore. And it helps to have some proper moulding tape as the included stuff is a joke.

Rear:

Front:

Amazon Warehouse: $38 (about half price, a number of folks seem to be returning these)
Practical effect: Makes the truck look more finished. Less crap thrown onto the sides from the wheels.
Time to install: Rear: 15 minutes (half was figuring out the clear stickers). Front: 20 minutes (now knowing what they wanted with the clear stickers).

Almost done with my minor customizing. Added hood graphic so I can tell mine from all the other white trucks running around.

Rocky Mt. Graphics: $50 (easily removable, many colors available, went with the matte black)
Practical effect: Sporty look. No one has the exact same truck as you.
Time to install: 45 minutes (some bubbles are unavoidable but you poke 'em with a pin and they rub right out).

I am sort of thinking creating a stealth stock mod thread in jest.

So far that seems to be what I have done. I have added the tailgate dampner, the auto-stop deactivator and the engine cover. None of which can be seen by just looking at the truck.

I actually have a center console tray insert being shipped now so the theme continues.
