In quiet areas with the passenger window open I can hear the turbo through my snorkel. :)

I watched about 1 minute, and it says 'early' f150 and ranger. Does it say what 'early' means? Mine is an Oct 2020 build.

Needed to watch for another minute to see the build dates impacted: Built 21-OCT-2019 thru 16-Dec-2019.

I noticed my 2019 making that noise over the weekend. Is there a 2019 TSB?
In the video he makes reference to a build date on the door sticker. I don't know if the TSB has been expanded or not, the failure was isolated to a couple bearings getting starved for lube I think, and I've read a couple owners just getting replacement transmissions which is just as much work and disruptive. Other solutions were replacement trans valve bodies and software 'updates.'

Then to complicate things: the gears for the trans pump are straight cut and make noise. I can only hear mine if I'm get under/beside it or I'm at a drive thru right next to a building that can bounce the sound back. As I understand it, that whine is normal. I assume this noise is louder and a different sound being a bearing going bad vs how a gear was cut.

Also when it's wet in a parking lot with no radio and moving slow. I can sometimes make out the whine from that pump gear but I have to really listen. Weird the road needs to be wet but I'm not an acoustical expert. See my battle of the bird noises for proof of that.....

Easier if you just read it..

And symptom diagnostics.

Isolate the high-pitched whine condition by road testing the vehicle at normal operating temperature, use the Automatic Transmission Select Shift feature to select and hold 3rd gear while driving on flat ground. The high-pitched whine noise peaks at speeds between 30-40 km/h (18-25 mph) during light acceleration and while coasting down in 3rd gear. The high-pitched whine noise goes away when in NEUTRAL.
