Hey guys, this is my third oil change on the ranger and at 15,000mi. The first two were done with Ford and my rewards points. Anyways, I’ve seen a lot of videos of metal flakes in oil so for some reason I decided to check. Can one of you look over these pics and tell me if you see anything to worry about.

- I know it’s probably really hard to see in pictures but I tried my best.

You’re going to need a full engine replacement. You hate to see it.
[
if you have to strain your eyes to see it, then its nothing to worry about. its a piston engine. things rub. things wear.
if you swirl a magnet around in there and start pulling out chips, some big enough to read part numbers, then start to worry.
thanks! I’m just paranoid?

I’d suggest having oil analysis done if you’re concerned. Have some science tell you what’s in there as some metals are more concerning than others.
