Same happens a lot when I’m in a slanted driveway

Has anyone else had their tailgate slide out on the passengers side while going to close it? I’m not sure if some hardware is broken or if it’s supposed to be like that. I know it’s supposed to slide out at a 45 angle but even when the tailgate is down it feels like the passengers side is loose.

Here’s what I did to my Ranger today: Got rid of that ugly lip at the bottom of the body. now everything looks flush!

So just to dumb it down to myself it can go forward and back but not up down/ left and right?

Wondering if this is normal. If I pull towards the wheel you can hear that sound it makes towards the end of the video.

Haha I should be getting it fixed in 2 days so hopefully an hour commute to work for two days won’t be too bad

So if I’ve got a slight leak (about a pea size a day) coming out from under the clamp (no exposed boot or any rip) I should be good for a week? That’s what I’m looking at right now.

Had the same problem too. I was using waze and that seems to be what makes it happen the most. I just unplug it and plug it back in. Sometimes i have to kill the app too.

You drove with no grease in the cv boot like that? That’s crazy?

Don't know if anyone is still following this but had the same shop that rebuilt both front Cv axles try and tighten down the right clamp again...still not working. Had to bite the bullet on this one and ordered a new right cv joint. Cost was $300 for anyone wondering. Im justifying it in my mind...

**Update** 1500 miles later I got my oil changed at the Ford dealer with my points. I then got called and told my Cv axle is leaking (sounds familiar). They then quoted me $1,000 for the repair. First two pictures is what I saw when I got under the truck. The last picture is what I found after I...
