So as the title may imply, I’m wondering if I can piece together a “real” lift from my existing aftermarket shocks/struts. Right now I’ve got Bilstein 5100s on all four corners, with the front set at 1.8in. It still has the slightest bit of rake but was an improvement off road and looks nice paired with my 275/70r17 tries. However, I’m now feeling as if I still want a bit more lift overall with someday maybe going to 35in max tires if I feel crazy. What constitutes a real lift? Is it possible to use my 5100s in combination with some extra aftermarket goodies to get to what other full kits advertise? Maybe like 3in overall. Also if this is a stupid idea I’m prepped to be talked down.
